As we crawl from negative to negative Stuart is busy transforming a team not so very far away.

This is a manager who Rahic engineered into leaving. One downturn and he was given the boot, even though we were still well and truly in the playoffs.

There's no point crying over spilled I milk, but the question has to be asked as to whether Rahic is fit to be a director of a company, let alone our football club.

It would be like a business owner sacking his best salesman for having one month that was not up to his previous high standard. It is tantamount to unfair dismissal.

I wish Stuart all the best and would love to see him get Scunny into the playoffs. It would be the best two fingered salute he could give to Rahic on behalf of all us diehard City fans.

The same manager who lost six on the trot even Collins got two wins out of 6.
Best of Luck to him at Scunthorpe I hope he does very well but he deserved the sack here

No he didn’t Park. Yes we were in a slump, but owners/Chairmen are too quick to pull the trigger.

As the saying goes, the grass isn’t always greener as we have seen since with Grayson, Collins and now Hopkin....!

As @Storck@Storck pointed out, if there is no point crying over spilt milk, why take every opportunity to raise it and attack Rahic?

It’s happened and, in my opinion, was a mistake. But FFS do we have to start a new thread every day or every few days?????!!

When new facts present themselves I think it is worth reviewing. Fact is there were, and it appears still are, some people on C&B and on here who thought Stuart deserved sacking (see post above) and some who said he was tactically inept.

It appears from his performance at Scunthorpe that he might just be a good manager and that those people like @Park bantam@Park bantam and Rahic who thought he deserved sacking may well have been wrong.

That said. It is a long season. Maybe Stuart is just a lucky guy. Maybe he is tactically inept and was lucky for 18 months at City. Come May we might know the answer.

I’d argue that he isn’t a bad manager and isn’t tactically inept. However, his downfall was his predictability and inability to make changes that altered games. Therefore, once teams begin to figure out how he sets a team up it becomes easier for them to nullify his team. This is what we saw in his final season, even when we were winning it was as convincing as his first season and then eventually the results fell away.

I will reserve judgement on his Scunthorpe side until further into the season and see if he can maintain it.

Exactly, let’s at least wait until he has some success with them before you laud over others. Personally, I agree with you and the majority. It was a poor decision and is one of many made by Rahic.

But a new thread every single day is just not appropriate

another 3 points against a decent Charlton side last night.

    unbeaten in 6.

he's not a good manager though, we were right to get shot. our progress since then proves that.

well done Stuart, keep those results coming pal!

    Tactically inept. Clueless.

Since he left we've made massive progress both on the field (new grass) and off the field (there was toilet roll in the loos at the last game).

I don't know how he lasted 18 months with us.

He has probably inherited some good players. He may well take them to the playoffs, but anyone can do that with good players.

Only if he can do it when random German non league players start to populate his squad, or when a squad is heavily depleted and the owners decide not to support him willl I believe in him.

It all seems to have gone a bit belly up since this thread.

I was looking forward to seeing Stuart return to VP in the next couple of weeks but I'm not sure it's actually going to happen any more.

I kid you not though, he's apparently started Rory McArdle in centre midfield.

Wholly shit - he really is losing the plot.
He never had a plan B - love the guy to bits but not sure he’s a top manager.

It sure has Aaron. Who'd have thought. He really hit the ground running. Here's hoping he turns it around and heads back in the right direction - as long as we get the three points of course.
