I think it's worth saying that the sentiment around where I was sitting was that we didn't play that well. Our passing was poor and we frequently got ourselves in to trouble.

On the other side though it was clear when we attacked that they were worried and almost every time we were near their box it looked like we could score. So, in some respects, it was an odd game.

Strong performers today were Stubbs (who won everything in the air, aside from our stupid zonal marking at corners), Halliday, Clayton and of course Lewis.

Impressive turnaround after half time. Shows we DO have what it takes but just need to do it more often. Especially at home.

Feels like we have grown as a team in that last 52 minutes. Really happy for the team that they put such a battling display and it should now be a catalyst for a great run where we climb back into the play off places ready to steal 3rd spot last day of the season. ;)

BBC comment with regards our 3rd goal : "But chaos ensued as Walker's rocket strike sealed a long-awaited away victory for Bradford" I certainly didn't see it as rocket strike more placinging it past an advancing goal keeper quality finish, that's the difference between the likes of Walker and Esia he does the same against Mansfield and were on our way, that's not having a go at esia but 3 points last Saturday we have our destiny more or less in our own hands.

And I worry about one or two on here, I don't think in all my time on the official City forum, Claret & Banter and Bantam Talk I've ever read any fan wanting an opposition player to get his leg snapped in half and they would dance a jig.
And what's that "homely they will spend another term in league two" what a sad soul.

And how much better does it feel to be the ones winning the game in the second half rather than throwing away points as we have done so many times this season.

Romain Vincelot was a more recent example of showing how timing a jump can consistently overcome the height deficit too Kev.

Yes good shout , that’s a major reason why he transitioned to an emergency centre back so easily. I did like Vince…good honest footballer.

Have noticed since Andy Cook has been back in and scoring there's no question of his apparent lack of workrate or the lazy stereotype of him being overweight. I guess the same tired old cliches will be back if he doesn't score in the next two games. Even the rubbish about him being 'rested' to come back later, all absolute garbage.

It’s good management from Hughes in my opinion. Cook was becoming less and less influential during that spell up to Christmas and was rightly dropped. He was kept out of the side and has comeback firing on all cylinders. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him given another break (unless he maintains this form), just so he can be brought back chomping at the bit again. Having said that, the same should apply to all positions.

If we can keep him fit, Stubbs is a real class act. Rom's coolness, but with more experience and physicality. No slight to Platty because he's been a good performer for us this season, but I'd love to see Stubbs playing with Rom.And of course, all of them in a three might look pretty cheeky depending on who we play.

Broadly agree with your thoughts Inspector, except for the Cook comment. Throughout his career whenever he's had the right feed player alongside him, he scores loads. This season, with a dizzyingly different number of players sometimes alongside him or often being left as the lone striker at the top of the tree, he's still on 18 goals in all comps. Not shabby. I liked how he played with Derbyshire today - two old school strikers who understood what each other did and fed one another in really well in the few chances we had. Hope this endures, because I don't feel confident with Oliver when he starts. Little link-up play with players around him. Good as a battering-ram late on.

Raynor was Evans' assistant at Boston round about 2006/2007 when Evans was convicted of tax fraud. He has been his right hand man ever since at Crawley, Rotherham, Leeds, Gillingham, etc. They are both from the same obnoxious mould. Where Evans goes, Raynor follows!

    He’s always been his mouthpiece.
His default position of arms spread wide whenever a decision apparently goes against them is quite tedious now.

Steve Evans plays the sort of football our fans would love. I'd have him here in a heartbeat.

There isn't really a style our fans love.

Even Parkinson got pelters for being too direct, even though that's the style that causes the big teams problems. It levels the playing field and negates talent differentials somewhat.

But no sooner do we switch to attractive, attacking football and start winning games by scoring 1 more under Stuart, that's no good either!

Now we've modernised under Hughes, and guess what? No good.

It's the result of being a big rudderless lower league battleship with no purpose or direction I'm afraid.

They don't have many young legs.

Very much a senior team with most players close to 30.
