My initial thought on Evans is no, based I think on emotions, yesteryear discussions and I just don't recall him being that successful. But we are a bang average 4th division team, with rudderless direction, so what do I genuinely think we are capable of attracting... McCann, Woodgate, Warnock etc, nah.

Evans, yeah he fits the profile. Old school management, gone through a variety of clubs, with little success in recent times.

As I say, if this is the direction the club takes, I do worry. It will divide. We may lose fans. It could be a real own goal.

Over 2 seasons. Finished 10th in League 1 both seasons.

 

Agree, it's easy to pass comments when times are good, it's when you struggle you need to be consitant with what you said in the past, classing us as a family club and employing Steve Evans don't go together IMO.

As long as he was sat near you and not near Ryan that gives us hope Ryan isn't gullible enough to ask him to attend the game on behalf of the club and our CEO.
Then again I remember Steve McClaren down at Valley Parade during Rahics reign and a few commented could he be our new DOF.
