Let’s face it anybody who comes to manage this club will either be a Rookie or had failures in the past. That’s where we are at the moment. Bowyer did a great job at a good club on hard times and looks like a good candidate to me

He's 100% worth talking too but thought we got rid of Edin?

So we still in a sh&t storm then? See I don't see it that way so I don't care what a manager did on hard times.

Having a plan, a vision, a footballing identity.

As I explained Bradford City fell into a trip of just getting a manager in. Bit like Everton and Utd until now. You need a manager that has a style of play and a vision like Ole has at Utd hence the improvement in the team.

It's all about the interview for me not the past. Don't care. I don't really look at CV's when recruiting as they're bollocks- what can you do for me? What do you bring to the table. I believe in second chances and the past is the past - I move on very quickly!

I appreciate what you are saying Fordy and your thinking is fine but this is how people like Michael Collins get to a level they're not ready for, no previous experience most of the time and get found out pretty quickly.

Funny enough I've just read the Kuqi article, very strange.

In fairness though, you thought Russell Slade would be a good appointment.

Yeah, I did because he has no network, no links, nothing in the game.

Kewell, Fowler, Jones, Warnock etc all do. Automatic respect from the players.

What is required now is nerves of steel. A man who has the ability to inspire the team, Instill a never say die character. Someone who has the experience of when to change things before the match and during the match. No flapping or worrying about the opposition, this is about how we operate as a team, one for all and all for one.

You always have to look back at their history both as a player if they played, and any managerial position they held, how they performed, if they failed can they identify their faults? You can’t just rock up slap your very nice cv down and then tell everything they want to hear. The City Board want to here the manager to reassure them they won’t let City go down, and then tell them how they intend to do that.

If Bowyer came in, who would be in his backroom staff? His no2 is now the Blackpool manager lol

Just watched the Drury interview, thought he came across as professional and business like. He said it how it is, it is down to the players to show some character and leave nothing on the pitch. One interesting bit. The players need to play for each other, not the fans or the club. Exactly that is how the bond’s in team development.

I also like the no nonsense approach to changing the captain, he knew what the rest of us did, sometimes you have to be a manager and tell them how it is, I like the fact he dressed it up for the media, but it didn’t stop him.

Carry’s on like this and he may have his one and only fan, provided he brings back 3 points.

Maybe mate, maybe but if they bring in an experienced number 2 then who knows.

Collins had Abbott but that's not the kind of number 2 I mean and to be fair Drury was really the number 2.
