Expect to hear the same back-and-forth as we saw on this board about Gillingham, where the embargo and the squad limit is the result of a loan which is or isn't a sign the club is struggling.

For me, the fact both those clubs are at the bottom of the table tells me all I need to know; they're in trouble, but should expect to survive relegation.

Simon Grayson was sacked by Fleetwood last month and Evans should be sacked too; both clubs appear to be in miserable situations.

I’ve not looked into Fleetwood but their owner said they would have been ok with 22 except for the injuries they have. Isn’t that the whole reason for the squad because at some point you will be hit by injuries

The issue is the ‘capped’ squad size, which all clubs are constrained by. There is a slightly myopic view, held by some and promoted by the club, focusing on the injuries that City have suffered. However the same issues are pertinent to all clubs who cannot increase their squad size, other than by having lots of additional players, who are under the age limit. I think that players seem to suffer more injury in the current game, given the speed it is played at and the distance that players cover in a match.
Personally I was in favour of a wage cap, but an increase in squad size. The PFA were the ones who wanted more money for the players, but then fewer professionals is the result.
I still feel that a fair and decent basic salary, which has performance related rewards, is a better system and apart from a few supporters, then most of us want to see players who are working hard to improve results and are incentivised to do so.

Those that took the loans are capped at a lower level and I think also restricted on paying fees for players, not sure about wages

For all of those who are fed up of being left in the footballing dark ages. Plus being from a city ignored and left behind for decades. Use this thread to push for Rupp to sell and lets get him on his bike.

He might mean well but we have gone further and further backwards every season since he came. And we see no desire to input his own wealth, which is his choice. But when someone comes along who will, he needs to go.

    On Yer Bike Mr RUPP!!

If a "deal in principle" was agreed -then the asking price will have been met.

So what has stopped him selling the club I wonder?

The offer to Rupp will have been in hard cash, The new owners then wanted to create a Bradford City Crypto currency which could with their obvious expertise created £millions for the club with little risk to the existence of the club

A bid for Dom Telford at Newport to play alongside either Angol or Cook will be a start.

But we'll need a goalscoring midfielder, too, so taking Joe Sbarra from Solihull might be a good idea.

Goalkeeper on loan, O'Keeffe from Mansfield on a permanent, we're getting there.

Of course that would mean more than just ringing around the other League Two clubs asking for spares.

    Don't give up mate.

One day we'll be fundin a promotion push by buying a NFT of Finn Cousin-Dawson taking a throw in. If they haven't all been snapped up by our millions of new fans in the States or Far East that is.
