    What’s everyone’s thoughts?

Mine are that he either needs to sell or invest as it is clear that Adams needs backing. I think the former is the correct decision.

then you get the truth regarding Tordoff and all the Curle and Townsend business turns out had nothing to do with Jack being carefull with the money.
City bid £250k for Townsend and the player found Norwich more attractive that was that
As for Curle City went after him Wimbledon bid 500k Tordoff turned to Dolan and asked him should we go in higher and Dolan not Tordoff said he didn’t think he was worth it.

Yeah but some of these passionate football owners can end up making a right mess .......... look at Richmond here and look what Ribsdale did at Leeds .............got both clubs to the stars and there passion ended up a cycle of a decade of nothing

Just think that Tordoff was given a harsh ride regarding these so called myths and to be fair to him he did make all that money generated from them sales available not his fault it was blown on poor signings :(

Not Tordoffs fault if Bradford wasn’t glamorous or Dolan didn’t rate Curle that highly was it ???
There is a book with it all in and it gives Jacks side of the story and I cannot recall anyone coming out since calling him a liar

He wasn’t stupid he knew the money was gonna come back in if we won promotion or not but our two main targets either didn’t want to come or our manager didn’t wanna pay 500k for the other not the mythical story that he wasn’t willing to spend the cash

He did on Kennedy for starters and that was a huge fee for us back then

Well the Glazers are awful owners but be that as it may it's impossible to deny they have a passion for sports I suppose you could argue the same point about Rupp liking brum brum cars but it's not exactly the same

There are different reasons to buy football clubs other than burning passion but at this level it tends not to be the case most of these owners only own the clubs because they have some kind of affinity with them maybe I'm wrong

Pretty sure Adams was saying a few weeks ago loan market was the target now is going to “splash the cash” wonder what changed?

Derek telling Sparks to get some cash springs to mind.

link? I couldn't find that anywhere. I thought it was six figures not five. £60,000 is very low for any player. not even a years wages that...

All I could find is we did make a small profit on him.

Didn't BFG fall out with Jagger, and then went on to appoint Hutchings and we all know how that ended up. I suppose it depends how hands on an owner wants to be, and we know that Richmond was the type of owner that called the shots. Now we're at the other end of the scale. Ultimately, I'd say the buck falls squarely at the owners feet.

just seen that Fleetwood had to take a £2m Covid loan from the EFL to manage to survive and are now under a squad cap of 22 and budget restraints
