Just remember owners dont grow on trees and good ones even less so - yes Stefan has made mistakes (he has admitted as such) but he has stuck by us. He has the personal wealth to have walked away making a 'loss' but he hasn't, football is not his main interest but I have the feeling he wants to have some success and leave us with a legacy so he can hold his head up on his time with us. I just dont see the value in constantly berating him for the errors he made, we all make them - he has riden them out and he is supporting us through the most difficult time football (and all business) has faced.
For my part I am grateful for this and that he is part of our club

No, no and no.
Until he gets us back to the position when he took over, I won't forget his part in the regression of this club.
But I will forgive. Too early when we are mid table in the khazi league to have this debate. -

Amazing.
We've gone from one goal away from Championship football to cannon fodder in League Two, but all is well because we've gone on a good run.

In summary, Rupp went into football in a naive position. He knew very little about football club ownership and relied heavily on Rahic - who let's not forget was part owner.
Mistakes were made and the club has regressed in this time but one thing has remained constant. Rupp's willingness to support the club financially. Once Rupp saw the light of day Rahic was gone and Rupp himself has accepted responsibility for the part he played in instilling too much trust into one man.
This brings us to the present day. We are owned by a man who is now less naive, has the finances to progress us and has invested further into the club at a time where there is so much economic uncertainty. Actions speak louder than words and the actions of Rupp would suggest to me he has learnt many lessons. This is a very important factor for me and I for one am happy with how he is supporting the restructuring of the club.
We look to be progressing and time will tell if this can be sustained, but now is not a time to bring up old grudges. Give the guy a chance and let's see where it takes us.vladimir, Bantam75, Bantam Boy and 3 others like this. -

But as the club show forward momentum, headed by Rupp (it cuts both ways) and the country has light at the end of the tunnel from lockdown, it allows a calmer reflection on things. So many times, Bradford City frustrated the bloody hell out of me and I remain in the belief, that Rupp was as much to blame as Rahic. I voiced off on here but what do I do, when I see the club in bloody dire straits?
Look if Rupp was to move on, good. If he is to stay, then upper half in league 1 is the minimum to atone his mismanagement.JonButterfield, Tennesseebantam, vanginger and 1 other person like this. -

Did we need another thread on him? All it does is bring up the same old arguments. He’s not worth discussing until he does something of note imo, that’s not me being harsh on him I just don’t see creating a thread on him to build positivity towards him when we’re 11th in League 2 as very sensible.

It is not Rupps fault we are in league two and suffered relegation, That blame lies with a chairman who managed to pick 3 duff managers in a row, Although shoulders some blame for not appointing a better chairman CEO to run the club

Let's be honest Rupp was taken for a ride by Rahic who was clearly on a mission to buy a football club, remember we weren't the first club Rahic looked at and a deal for Blackpool was on until even dodgy Oyston refused to sell.
I ain't saying Rupp isn't partly to blame to what we had to endure because he should have done his own homework before allowing Rahic free reign however he has stuck with the club and IMO is trying to right the wrongs. Do I hope he sells yes but only if its to someone with the right interests we don't want another owner like Rahic involved. Sometimes its better the devil you know.Silverbantam, hornseabantam, Bronco and 1 other person like this. -

The second point is who is buying league football clubs at the moment? Sunderland went through but that’s the exception. Wigan have been in administration for nearly a year. The PL is becoming a closed shop with a few yo yo clubs, the championship needs money chucking at it if you want to thrive. The Derby owner reckons to have lost £200m. If we get promoted and there is a clear path for fans to return in substantial numbers the market might open up a bit, but unless you’re mad, have money to burn or are a super fan, nobody is buying football league clubs at the moment.Inspector, hornseabantam, Bronco and 1 other person like this. -

The club has started to fill the key positions at the club with forward thinking personnel, investment has been made to the playing side and were progressing on the pitch. Why would anyone want the upheaval and uncertainty a new owner would bring? The old saying "don't bite your nose off to spite your face" springs to mind. As we stand we're one of the better run clubs so let's leave it like that.
