Squad Size. Hughes being backed.

As soon as he got rid of McCall (2018) then Rupp should have been over here in a shot ......... had he done it then instead of waiting a year and half then I doubt we would have been in this mess .......... we called all see hat that parasite was about so why oh why didn’t Rupp see the same ????
He could have gone onto any social media platform and sussed the feeling of the fan base out ............ and I know he doesn’t want to be involved in running a football club but as a businessman he should never have let a loon blow his hard earned cash on his ego trip

 

This is true, but I'm prepared to bet everything I own that in hindsight Rupp regrets that decision more than your average city fan

 

Hindsight is indeed a powerful had we known what that bastard was really about we could have acted a lot earlier .............

I know its going over old ground but I could never understand why Rupp backed Rahic after the Wembley final with regards Rahic wanting Stuart out to walk or resign without questioning why Rahic felt so strongly about the man who'd got us to a final, we all knew why, it wouldn't have taken a great deal of investigation by Rupp or someone he put on the case, as you say any social media platform would have given him an insight into where Rahic was going with our club and the feelings at the time with regards Bradford City fans, did he really believe it was Rahic who'd done anything positive to help Stuart that season, Rahic's ego couldn't stomach the FACT Stuart McCall carried the Legend status from Bradford City fans something he could only dream of.
We could have done a Millwall and got promoted to the Championship with a little more money spent on that squad, even more so when I believe the season ticket take up was 18,00+ that following season.
As you say even someone with no football experience would surely question why Rahic was not delighted with the season that we had just had, they were certainly happy enough to take the plaudits after the Fleetwood game These were our home attendances that season,

sadly you get these bellends who think they know better without really having a clue unfortunately we’ve had it twice once in 2000 and then again in 2019 on both occasions it’s set us back years when a real football man would have had us on a decent platform .......... amazing how these fookers continue to pop go in and destroy everyone’s hard work and get away with it ................ you mark my word if this does change around and we do end up in league Rahic will pop up trying to get some sort of praise from it

 

I'm an average Bradford City fan and I'd question that comment, the mans a multi millionaire (various figures banded about) he still owns the football club with massive potential run the correct way, as @AngryGaz says it would not have been difficult to do some digging and find out why Rahic so patently wanted to get Stuart out after that fantastic season not just our Wembley appearance but some of the football we played that season, plus going unbeaten at home that season when Stuart carried on from where Phil Parkinson left off.

 

Not sure that would be a wise thing to do but I understand he's still living in Baildon or he was up until quite recently.

 

He had plenty of warning even after McCall went especially the looking for a decent manager during the close season after managers turned us down for fun McCall going was a warning but that pre season after his departure should have set huge alarm bells ringing

 

Living in Baildon still just proves what kind of bloke he is ............ my word you would have bolted out of the City after the damage he caused ........... but no doubt he will walk around with held held high thinking he did a good job

 

How many do you think turned the job down?

Sure Mark Warburton was in the frame but who in there right mind would want to work for that Twit ........... Parky sussed him out straight away so how many others did the same ????? He just combed us all into buying season tickets us all thinking that a decent manager was gonna come in only for him to appoint folk he could control ............ you have to feel for Micheal Collins obviously a very good coach whose career could have been ruined because of that vile fooking rat

 

Mate it’s like the build up to Xmas day on the pee on north parade a decent crowd a great attmosphere and hopefully a good win to set us up for the season

I agree. He gets a lot of stick but this summer hr deserves a bit of credit. Looks like he is letting Sparks put everything in place that needs to be done. As the owner, its under his watch, good and bad.

If we struggle again this season is it all Rupps fault even though he’s given a very competitive budget. All an owner can do is not interfere with team or transfers and even Fordy must admit he doesn’t do either. Hughes can’t blame anyone for not getting enough backing so if we finish 14th again what has Rupp done wrong? Obviously it would be great if he lashed out 5 million on us but very few owners work like that. He gets dogs abuse from some yet he lent the club 1.6 million interest free to bail us out of Rahics mess. Lawn billed us 9% per year for his loan but he’s like a saint to some on here even though we had no success under him for first five years of his reign
