    Great interview!
Amazing that he's actually never won something as a manager, would be so great if he could do it here

As honest as he was as a player.

If he achieves what he wants, how good will that be for BCAFC.

come on MH, MAKE US PROUD.

To be fair to the Daily Mail, they do print some excellent sporting articles, this almost being one, apart from the 'half a dozen signings' quote.

If Mark Hughes and his assistant Glyn Hodges don't guide Bradford City to promotion this coming season something major will have occurred behind the scenes to upset the feel good factor they have both brought back to our club and it's fan base, which is reflected in the backing shown in season ticket sales and keeping 100% of our commercial partners onboard.
I'm aware there's no such thing as a dead cert but with the above managerial duo at the helm we must be pretty close.

Maybe the interview was done a while back and was only published on a slow news day.

Plus Hughes himself a few weeks ago said we had around 9 through the door when we had 12. Sky Sports News live!!!

Don’t forget mark hughes is one of 24 managers in division 2 trying to do the same thing get promotion , it’s the players that need to perform , coaching internationals and division 2 players is a different thing , hope everyone is still behind him if we’re mid table at Christmas

Yeah a really good read. I like his honesty, really refreshing and like he says if he fails here he is done in the game. In a way that is him saying I am not done in the game as he backs himself to get us "promotions"-so a clear indication that the goal is the Championship with him at the helm. Now that I would dearly love to see.

I get your point entirely, being an optermistic football supporter is part and parcel of pre season.
Without positivity what's the point in spending money on a season ticket.
From a personal point of view I believe City have a brilliant chance to get out of Division Two.
We appear to have recruited well thanks to some canny work behind the scenes by Gent.
Christmas can wait for now let's hammer Donny.

No point going to VP next Saturday. According to the article Doncaster will be heading west to Bradford. If you head west from Donny, the nearest they’ll get to Bradford is an area in Manchester.

    Quality Sparkie :
Last year’s final game of the season, at home against Carlisle, saw him involved in some halftime argy-bargy with a member of the opposition backroom staff. To watch it back is to revisit the essence of the competitor he has always been.
‘He was shouting and bawling and I just thought I would try and make him stop,’ smiles Hughes with comic understatement.

‘I apologised afterwards because he came in to see me. I really should be old enough to know better, shouldn’t I? But that’s the part of the game I really missed — match day. Whenever I left a position at a club, Saturdays were always agony. It would take me a while to even watch football again. So yeah, it’s great to feel that adrenaline again.’
