And that one clip sums up our club right now. Instead of berating him for missing a sitter the fans clap him. What exactly are they applauding, the cross perhaps or the build up play? I do hope so cos I wouldn't be applauding that miss.

Wrong to judge Oliver just on that one clip and I wasn't there but that looked far easier to score than any of Cooks misses at Carlisle and I was there and he was dropped because of it
Something just doesn't seem right with Cook at the minute unless it's a big fee I hope they haven't benched him with the odd 10 minute cameo role because a deal is pending

 

Cook goes, you need to replace his goals with equal or ideally a better tally. Your talking six figures easy , even at this level.
Not happening, unless Rupp has found a stash of Euro's down the back of his sofa that he is willing to throw away.

Yes were awful in the 2nd half but goals change games and that penalty was a gift that should not have happened. Without that gift I firmly believe we'd have won the game admittedly without looking great.
I agree re our lack of goals which means we are always going to be vulnerable due to our inabilty to finish teams off.

They were poor misses for a striker who is second top scorer in the league with the same sort of service Oliver has been getting
Remind me again how many goals Oliver has this season ??

 

He has a massive 3 goals , 2 of them came in the same game, although the club had to beg for one of those to be credited to him.

 

Must be his pin point accuracy passing the ball around in our penalty area/half that gets him his starting spot rather than doing what he is paid to do
Cook has proven he can do it with the same level of "no" service yet warms the bench

 

If we are depending on Cook to help us win matches and climb the table then it will not happen. There have been 2 issues that have been apparent all season. We are not solid in midfield and we create very little from set pieces, solve those issues and we would walk this league.

 

Yet Cook has bagged 16 goals even accepting that poor supply from others, one thing for sure Oliver won't help us climb the table with similar service, I agree with regards our poor midfield lets hope if as Hughes says there are more to come in one is a midfield player who can make us tick.

 

Don’t know why people are arguing over Cook and Oliver, in terms of goals per minute both are doing good with the lack of service they have received. Although Cook should have had 2 more against Carlisle and Oliver should have had two yesterday but as they saying goes they wouldn’t be at this level if they were so consistent.

 

Oliver has proven he can score goals at a higher level. Has Cook. Look I don’t care who plays where I just want a Successful team and yes I .would love for cook to be in there but I think the team looks better balanced with Oliver. Having said that the sort of form Cook was showing early season in front of goal made him undroppable sadly of late he has regressed back to last season
