Nah, we sold loads of season tickets and got to feel like we are massive.
The things that really matter.

According to all that Tuckman stuff from the textbook this team appears to be in the ‘storming’ phase. Let’s hope its not for much longer.

Well look on the bright side guys, at least the fan base isn’t reacting after 2 games

Early days certainly but one or two things worry me slightly about MH. Firstly, in this league you need brutal centre backs and we don't seem to have one, preferring people who are good on the ball. Secondly, we seem to have put all our eggs in one basket with Walker and now he's injured we have no back up. Thirdly, we don't seem to have decided how we're going to play, for example yesterday replacing Angol with Young, two completely different players. And signing Oliver when we don't have the wingers to supply him with the crosses he needs to prosper. Fourthly, we seem to have recruited with the intention of rotating a lot of the squad from game to game. I've never known that to work at this level but it's something MH has brought in from higher up. Fifthly, MH seems to rate Gilliead. That's the most worrying of all.
I would have thought a savvy League 2 manager would have resolved all these issues before the season started but we haven't. It could be that we're trying to get promotion with a mindset that's appropriate to a much higher level of football. I really hope I'm wrong about all this but we'll find out in the coming time. -

Barrow have beaten the 2 promotion favourites in their opening 2 matches, scoring 6 goals in the process.
We know that Pete Wild is a good manager with high potential.
Barrow could well be the surprise package this season, and if they are, this result won’t seem as bad after all. -
Where have I said that? -

Yes and goodness knows what the 'got to have it now' merchants on here, would have been saying about Jewell in September 1998, when we'd won just one out of seven, losing four of the others.
It is slightly worrying. Basically we were bullied fairly by Barrow in the second half and couldn't cope - which is nothing to do with a lack of wingers.
However, Hughes will quickly realise that Young and Hallett - who significantly were at promoted clubs last season, are a must. Now Walker is out and once Hallett's suspension is over, I'd play them both with Oliver with Chapman on the wing.
I was always underwhelmed by Angol. I just don't think he has a good game management brain, which you need for playing that role.
Onwards and upwards. At least I can go to my Stockport Office with my head held high
