Definitely not just "interference", I've sat in every stand barring midland Road and still not been able to hear shit in any of them, been that way for years so to say "it was fine in the week, blame lfc TV" is a total cop out

 

That Glen Ackroyd bloke keeps coming on here and saying that. I'm sorry but the sound system is not right in the top and hasn't been for a decade or so. Yes there is sound and yes it's at sufficient volume but the sound is just muffled and not discernible. Someone from the club should spend some time up there on a match day and then come back and tell us how thorough the testing was.

 

Also from a safety aspect too, fans need to be able to hear any safety/evacuation message broadcast clearly in the event of a emergency.

 

To all on this thread. The sound system was thoroughly tested in the week, including the roving Mike and was fine.
Sadly the interference today was caused by the equipment of LFC Tv.
Suspect there won't be a repeat.

I am sorry Roger but your reply is wholly unacceptable.
The PA system in the main stand was and still is a disgrace. To say it worked fine in the week so everything is ok smacks of a shrug of the shoulders
to a subject you are not going to do something about because it will cost money is diabolical.
For all of us sitting in the main stand not to be able to hear a word from Stephen Darby when he bravely wanted to pass on his heartfelt thoughts and feelings hurt.
I expected more from you on subjects like this.

Begging bowl out again ? Why should we offer our skills on the cheap? We are your customers, you're supposed to provide us with the very best service you can, not the other way around.

 

The problem with supplementing volunteers for contracted work that is essential is they are completely unaccountable. Hence Paula was let down, that is exactly my point. We cannot wring our hands in consternation about this, it will continue to happen. One off work completed by dedicated fans is fine as long as we are convinced they are proficient and can do the job. However, ongoing cleaning and maintenance work should be completed by professional companies. I know it costs money, but in my view absolutely essential.

The interference was there last year. When it was tested did you have the bloke doing it that did it today wandering aimlessly?

 

it was terrible in the NW corner too. No one could understand a word so then people started talking quietly between themselves.

I agree it wasn’t the interference that was the problem, i think that was half time if i remember. The problem was not being able to here Stephen Darby clearly enough over the speaker system, to a point where people were applauding more out of guesswork rather that on what was being said.

It is terrible. The interference today was awful, no sound quality. I'm not that bothered about the sound quality through the season cause you can make out the teams, added time etc, but would of been nice to hear Darby today. But apart from that, we made Bradford City look worlds apart from last year, and did everyone proud - apart from that scrout in the second half.

 

The bloke doing the talking needs a good slap. If he just stood still the interference wouldn’t be as bad, presuming he found a spot with none. It would be fine and then he would wander around for no reason

 

Let’s hope not it was horrific
