Sorare

I'm curious does anyone here play Sorare?

For those who are going what is sorare it's what you get if you cross Card Games such as Pokeman or Magic The Gathering with Fantasy Football. Each Game week (There are 2 game weeks each actual week) you choose one of the leagues to enter and select a 5-a-side team from the cards you have based on the entry requirements and you score points based on players performance. And you can then win additional cards and even Etherum (A Cryptocurrency like Bitcoin). The great thing about it as a game is it actually increases your interest in football around the world. With Europe not playing club games right now you are generally looking to have players from the J-league in Japan, the K-League in Korea, the MLS and some of the South American leagues. I've never been interested in the MLS but I have a few MLS players so I've been watching these and as I'm writing this I'm watching two matches the Asian Champions League match that Ceroza Osaka is playing in and the J-League match that Sanfrecce Hiroshima are playing

Now just a warning, while it's free to signup and you will be given some free common cards to play within the starter league to familiarise yourself with the game when your account ages out of these starter leagues you can only use one common card per team in most in the leagues and you will need to buy Rare, Super Rare or Unique cards to keep playing (Although there is special training league thats mainly used to level up you rare and up cards that you can use all your commons in just for fun and you can enter as many teams in the special training league as your cards allow). You might actually get lucky and win a rare card in the starter league to help you out mind you. And the cards you buy are what are known as NFT's which you may have been hearing about on the news recently so they do carry value as they are limited in number (rare cards only have 100 minted of them each season, Super Rare 10 each season and unique just 1) so it's not just flushing money down the drain for a digital card, they can be sold and maybe even for a profit. For example, I have a young striker who I bought as he was cheap because he wasn't playing but he has now played the last 3 games, scored good points and that same card is now going for 4 times what I paid for the card, at the moment I'm not selling him as I think he may go up higher in value.

1 Tip I would advise is after your starter league ends (or during it if you want) you set out an amount you can spend right away and then set out to buy 5 players who are guaranteed starters each week. In the Global All-Star Div 4 league you are looking to score 205 points which will win you just under £16 worth of etherum. So if you can score and average of 41 points per player you can start earning a nice pot that can then be used to upgrade your team. Hopefully, you get a common keeper during the starter ln th starter league (or even a rare) as Keepers are expensive and eat up your budget but if you have a decent common keeper you can then look to just buy 4 starters (A defender, Midfielder and Attacker with the 4th being any position as the 5th place is a wildcard). You get better deals in auctions but you are bidding against others or you can buy directly off other players. In initially went looking for cheap players and while thankfully they are mainly young players who I suspect will play more games in future and contribute significantly for my scoring or can be sold on for profit I would have been better getting guaranteed starters so I had a better chance of winning cards and/or etheurum (which could then be reinvested into better players)

Also to help you select your team and also buy cards I would suggest soraredata.com. They provide way more information, Sorare itself only shows the last 5 matches but this goes much further and also provides injury updates and even instantly tell you based on appearances the squad status of players

For anyone who is interested here is my card collection at the moment. My rare (those in Red) keepers are a little weak as are my strikers. They are the cards that are most expensive. I do have some decent commons I was initially given or won in the starter leagues in both so it's largely me making a choice of sacrificing points in the keeper position by putting in a rare who most likely won't play so I can play a common striker or vice versa. Hoping at some point to win a good keeper or striker. In the Asian Div 4, I'm currently 38th and only need to be 105th to win a card so I should get one this week. And hopefully I win some more etherum on the Global Div 4 as I'm almost at £100 which is getting in the realms of getting an ok rare keeper or striker (Which you want as commons get a score penalty, they basically have to score double that of rare one. Plus you cant make them captain which gets a bonus)
