I was drunk writing this, but i guess you all get the idea

 

Edin is now a health risk, he's turning us all to drink.

 

If I was Hopkin I would do the following in an attempt to arrest the slide.

- go to the board and demand a “coaches” budget seperstecto my players budget so I can bin off Abbott and Drury and pay them what they need to get rid now and bring in my own coaching staff. He needs men he can trust with him at this stage. Never known many other clubs have such a bad run yet keep the men in place who are continually failing and not improving any players. Hopkin is scouting players himself anyway now, so what purpose is Abbott serving? We need a defensive coach for sure.

- in his latest interview Hopkin said he wanted to play football but doesn’t have the players. So he will wait and then try if gets the players in? But we could take weeks to get up to speed with this system and we don’t have that, especially come January. change it now. W me are getting easily beat anyway. If the players are listening in the press and know we are playing a system their own manager doesn’t even believe in? It beggars belief. Get them used to it now and say we sign 4 or 5 in January they can fit straight in. We do not have the players to go direct. Play what you believe in and the players will too

 

I understand some getting to the point where pointing the finger at Hopkin seems reasonable but I am firmly in the camp that says give him a transfer window, see what he can do (with the right support from the board). The level he is at is all relative, he took a dysfunctional Livingston down but having been allowed to do his thing, got them 2 promotions in next 2 years. Surely we can see that as being a positive and hope he can do the same here (obviously without the relegation first).

 

Difficult times for Hopkin, it's a garbage squad and some of the recently appearing pops at him are made out of frustration/ignorance IMO. If Edin backs him like he backed SmC then he's better off sacking it now, nobody would blame him and he wouldn't have the relegation on his CV. If he gets the players he wants and we struggle on, even staying up he is going to get tainted/associated negatively with the Edin regime just like what has happened to Abbott.
