That show should have been axed a long time ago, Dawson and Tufnell were so annoying it was unwatchable. Slightly less annoying though than the sky version, i'd rather have root canal work done than watch that.

 

Some people say Diversity, others say much needed change. Let’s be brutally honest. Sue Barker and Dawson have done remarkably well to eke out that long. The programme reminds me of a Sunday afternoon stroll in middle England after church. What if we had someone like Chris Akabusi?

 

I'd say its also to do with audience numbers. Soccer Saturday might have had its own little niche with middle aged white men but did it really appeal to anybody else other than the stone island/adidas wearing i was a casual 25 years ago mob? Theres a lot of shows i don't listen to as much these days such as Test Match Special or talksport due to changin faces of their presenters but i can see why they are doing it. Aiming for a different audience and advertising demographic, not me unfortunately.

 

In our household the younger adults prefer Soccer Saturday as they never got the chance to watch their teams(with City a very,very distant second), so that programme does have a broad appeal age-wise.
Myself, i was down at the valley watching the Hopkin horror and Bowyerball every other week so didnt follow it that much.
