Are no more. Gone for 'unknown reasons' after 14 years. The end of an era. Gonna miss his crack with Aggers, the likes of which is becoming less and less in a profession that becomes more sanitised by the year.

WTF! Can you start a campaign to show how important TMS is to the health and well-being of our country? TMS matters!

TMS ain't the same as it used to be but is still one of the guilty pleasures of sports broadcasting. Spent far too many hours over the years listening to cricket from all over the world through the medium. Being a top sports broadcaster is skill very few can master. I think of the likes of Richie Benaud, Ray Warren in the Australian NRL, John Madden and Pat Summerall in the NFL, Peter Jones of BBC Radio, Peter O'Sullivan form horse racing, John Motson from football etc. Of todays broadcasters people who stand out to me are the likes of Mike Costello who does the boxing for BBC radio, also Joe Rogan with the UFC.

I rate Aggers and can never stop listening to that interaction between him and Brian Johnston all those years ago when they were commentating on the test match with was it the WIndies? And they got the laughs going for the leg over comment. That always cheers me up :)

Will be replaced by a 1 legged non sexual indentified former diversity mature student of LGBT, who opened the batting for the Gaswork CC in the southern counties rainbow league .

Liked Boycott always a straight shooter, probably too much so for the BBC. It’s a shame because one of the best things about Cricket has always been the commentary compared with other sport. The likes of David Lloyd, Bob Willis and Geoffrey Boycott aren’t in the new generation of commentators.

I have always liked Boycott, from watching him when I was a teenager playing for Yorkshire and England at Headingley, and love his style of straight talking commentary.

Sadly, Bob Willis is no longer with us of course
