Following trials at the lowest levels of football, the FA are to extend the use of sin bins up to step 5 of the National League System (up to North East Counties level, I think) with effect from this season.

At present sin bins will only be used for dissent offences.

If successful, I would expect that serious consideration will be given to introducing them into the professional game and also to expanding them to include an extended range of 'yellow card' offences.

Love the idea nothing worse that watching a game (usually on TV) and seeing players being abusive to the match officials, and these same players are supposed to adhere to the Respect campaign implemented back in 2008.
It was only a matter of time before the powers that be had to draw the line on officials getting abuse, on SKY last night the stats were analysed with regards the leagues it was used in and everyone was in favour of it being introduced at all levels.

I coach under 10s football and this is coming in this season.
We all had to go on a 2hr course to help explain how it works .
Sin bin is just for dissent but they should have made the sin bin card blue or a different colour .
We got given these cards to hand out to the refs so.they know what they're doing .
You can effectively 3 yellow cards and come back on. 20190731_214048.jpg 20190731_214048.jpg 20190731_214028.jpg

Which is the 3 yellows and come back on? All the three versions seem to end in sending off
