Shoutout to the fans @ Posh today

Yes it was a good atmosphere. There were still a few fans who weren't encouraging - Doyle came in for a bit of stick. He is bound to struggle without a target man alongside, but even given that he didn't have a good game, but I can't see how abusing him will help. Mostly however we those present got behind the team and appreciated their efforts. I was encouraged by the performance.

 

Just a shame some have to ruin it by singing songs about Jimmy Saville and their manager been a "peado"...

Why not just focus your energy on your own team?

Great performance by the lads anyways, David Ball was tremendous. Caddis looks a great free agent after todays showing and once again O'Donnell & O'Connor keeping us in the game.

 

There were only a few shouts against Doyle near us, but they were there. Doyle looked frustrated when he was subbed. I agree with you he was on a hiding to nothing, he will be until a target man plays alongside him.

 

There are surely no better fans than City fans when responding to our players when they give their all, or seeing one of our own putting in a shuddering tackle

 

What was the chant? And why did it ruin anything?

How can he look frustrated? What was he expecting to happen? He doesn't challenge for the ball, or compete properly. If you're not even going to exert yourself physically, how can you be disappointed when you fail to impact on the game? It's not because their CB's are 6'5 and 6'3, because he failed to challenge or compete against any centre back of any stature.

 

I'd rather not repeat them but there were two that were very unpleasant. I don't like the guy but the songs were not the type of thing young fans should be hearing. Both were sang fairly frequently. The bunch singing them were towards the back above and to the left (looking up from the pitch) of one of the entrances.

A decent point yesterday. Two massive home games coming up. We needs wins and fast though. Hopefully we are moving in some kind of right direction, hopefully we don’t mess up these next two games, though we’ve said that before. I don’t buy that blind positivity and support alone will be the magic missing ingredient to cure this mess, it might help, but anyone would think they’ve had nil support so far all this season, which clearly is not true.

 

They've had great support all season considering how it's gone. I really don't understand your point.

It was there against Pompey too and in patches for a few previous games.

The mood has certainly lifted among players and fans though since JR was announced to be coming back and Edin has been relatively anonymous.

That's not a coincidence either before you leap to his defence.
