Should the time alter between GMT & BST?

If it changes about 8 weeks before the shortest day, then why doesn’t it change back 8 weeks afterwards, say the third weekend in February, rather than the end of March?

I hate it when it gets to March and it is starting to get dark just after 6.00 p.m.

I am sure @Bronco@Bronco and @Fordy117@Fordy117 have views about this.

I just believe that the clocks shouldn't go forward or back now.

I'm right in saying that the reason this all started was to help out the farmers?

Well the farmers market isn't what it was now and it's time just to leave it alone.

Does my head in changing clocks

Given the choice I'd turn them back to about 1964

It would make nov and march a little more palatable- get dark around 5 in november rather than 4 o'clock.
    More daylight in the afternoon.
Dec and jan will still be crap but hey winter is a bitch.

Mornings are meant to be dark, the start of the day, welcoming you to your world of work.
Afternoons, not so much, keep them lighter.

It's based around the old 9-5 work schedule. Not many people do that these days. Changing the clocks is pointless in my opinion. Especially over here in Estonia when it starts to get dark at 2pm anyway. All the clock changing does, is mess up the body clock and the mind - spending most of the day wondering what time it really is.

Agreed, I wouldn't mind staying on summer time permanently. As a confirmed owl, light mornings are wasted on me...not to mention, they get in the way of sleeping.
