Shots on target (or lack of them)

No surprise whatsoever. Bowyer is a terrible coach when it comes to the attacking element of the game.

 

Its certainly turned for the worst in the last couple of months. He was getting flak earlier in the season but we weren’t faring badly on the stats.

Last few games have been a joke though and no arguments its been unacceptable and passed the point where he could still turn it around.

 

Today is the first time Bowyer felt we lacked quality.

Someone correct me if I'm misrepresenting what he said, but I'm pretty sure that's what he was getting at.

 

So the man who has argued for weeks that we have been struggling because no other team in the division has been as badly impacted with injuries as us, is now suggesting that now those injured players are back, we lack quality?

Thats horrendous. If rumours are true regarding unrest at attacking formations then they may have a point.

how can you expect to win a game of football when you often have only 1 shot on target?

 

I happened to watch a training session between Christmas and new year. They did do a shooting drill, standard play a ball out wide, run in and receive a crossed ball, shoot first time at a keeper with no defenders challenging.

We were abysmal. Hardly anyone scored. Most blasted over or wide.

 

You're correct even under no pressure from opposition players many were missing the target on a regular basis, again we usually get into our seats around 2:30 on a Saturday and it's there to see how often they miss the target.
