I was so shocked to hear of Shane Warne passing away today.

A colleague at work actually interupted a meeting I was in to break the news.

Despite breaking England's hearts during his career, he was still one of my favourite cricketers of all time. The famous ball of the century will never be bettered in my opinion

He was such a flamboyant showman and it was pure theatre watching him.

RIP Warney and condolences to his family and friends from one of your many Pommie fans

    RIP Warney.

I was surprised how likeable and unbiased the likes of Warne, Ponting and McGrath were when commentating in the Ashes when they retired.

A true sportsman played as hard as anyone, but had plenty of respect to go with it. Like all the Aussies from that era and before.

Never a boring over when he bowled. Always trying something. My mediocre leg spin is inspired by him.

I was a (not very good) leg spinner in my youth. Shane Warne was nothing less than a once in a lifetime sporting genius and, despite his near total domination of our batsmen, probably my favourite cricketer. RIP Shane.

Sounds like he went out enjoying himself on a boys holiday in Thailand
