Second Lowest Number of Wins in League Two (All Competitions)

    It's odd to discuss potential promotion when we have recorded the second lowest number of wins this season across all competitions.

    In the league, only the bottom 6 have won less than our 5 victories - but when you include cups, the story gets even bleaker:

    Barrow - 7 wins
    Colchester - 6 wins
    Stevenage - 6 wins
    Oldham - 5 wins
    Carlisle - 5 wins
    Bradford City - 5 wins
    Scunthorpe - 2 wins

    Does it matter?

    Well, the wins came against:

    Swindon (top half)
    Rochdale (bottom half)
    Mansfield (bottom half)
    Stevenage (bottom 4)
    Oldham (bottom 3)

    I mean, that's pretty crap.

    Luckily, we're somehow still in the play off race, and all the draws (11 [ELEVEN]) across all competitions have buoyed us rather than sunk us. Still, we're 3 points off 7th, and 3 points off 18th.

    It's pretty clear to say the next few games could easily shape our season - wins are beyond vital, and we need to start winning against good teams and not just the dross.

    Well with all those draws you can easily make a case that we're a few goals short of a top 7 side.

    Does it matter that we're not winning many games if we want to be successful?

    I'm gonna go out on a limb and say 'probably'.

    We may be shit. But its sustainable. So at least we can carry on being shit.

    I think it's a fair reflection of our matches so far.

    Not good enough to score more and always capable of an error to gift the opposition a goal.

    The next 7 games to the end of the year will be interesting because at that point we'll be half way through the season. If we're not in touching distance of the play offs then it will be hard to bring better quality players in and Sparks stated "promotion is the aim" will need reassessing by him.

    Yeah, I don't see how we shouldn't be a bit worried about those stats.

    It's okay people crying 'NEGATIVITY' and pointing to the league table, but you simply cannot get promoted with our win rate - it's impossible.
