It's good idea and a couple of clubs have already announced something on those lines .. but without the key ring!

I'm expecting that whatever happens this coming season, we can all return to our usual ST seats in the following season. That's just an expectation on my part and I'm hoping the club clarifies this once the coming season's STs are back on sale. Like others, I'd like to understand the future situation before making a decision on this season's.

I agree on your last part. Awaiting further clarification really.

I think it’s the key ring that has swung it for you hasn’t it? “A key to your 2021/2022 seat?” I feel like James mason

Thinking about it, and my own situation with WHU STs, the advantage City have is a single price policy.

I think they will just ignore 20/21 for seats as people will have random seats even if they do renew

weird that the away team get the larger cut, I wonder what the logic is there.

I’m presuming that split was from previous years when it would be people abroad rather than in UK, but either way it is the home team that have lost income

For the past couple of years I've laboured under the apprehension that the 80/20 split is between the club who sells the match pass (80%) and the EFL (20%). I've discussed this on Twitter with the Accy chairman as we both believe that the money generated from streaming should go to the home team just as physical ticket sales do. Currently, if we sell a match pass to watch us away, we get 80% of that, at least so I believed. Here's a recent article, with quotes from various club execs, which seems to say the same thing I thought: https://www.tottonline.co.uk/efl-clubs-could-have-to-rely-on-ifollow-as-only-match-day-income-but-is-the-money-split-evenly/

My understanding is similar, that is the club selling the match pass gets most of the money.

Well fixtures are out tomorrow thats why.

    Bit of the 11th hour.

PL fixtures out this morning and so far Sky haven't said anything about showing 3pm games.

Just having a meeting to discuss something not in their control is a little pointless.

Sky and Ifollow need to come to an agreement first.

iFollow is a product of the EFL so maybe Sky & EFL have discussed already and the meeting on Friday is to relay that back to clubs? I wouldn't expect Sky to comment on anything if the clubs don't know he full ins and outs, as some don't even opt in to it.

That's it mate..I struggling to see how it would work.

If fans of say Sunderland are all watching Sunderland on Ifollow on a Saturday then they won't be watching Sky and seeing the adverts.

Let's see but if EFL get the green light then I am sure the PL will want it too.

That's the real issue and worry for me. The juggernaut that is the premier league, will want easing of current Saturday afternoon playing restrictions and I'm of the belief, that will damage lower league football and non league football, over time. Financially, clubs are up against it, this will be another Hurdle to manoeuvre for lower league clubs and some just won't make it.
