    For me counting corners as assists is as borderline as counting penalties in the goal scoring stats. They can be a tad misleading imo.

    His dead ball play has resulted in double figures in goals.

    Considering the wide man in front has had 1 assist. I call that a great return.

    He is the Best deliverer of the ball from set pieces and probably the best passer of the ball in open play

    My point being if someone else had taken them then the outcome could have been the same so attributing all those assists to him isn't the same as a winger crossing a moving ball as he tangles with a defender.

    We don't really know he's the best. He's probably just claimed the right to take them and done loads of practice. Anyone else could do the same.
