That's like Rupp taking no responsibility and blaming Sparks for everything.

It’s amazing that people like yourself (with all due respect) have it down on Ryan Sparks but those who are the know there was another on the radio tonight who say what a good job he is doing.

 

He inherited one who had us bottom of the league appointed two who were already at the club who saved us from relegation. And appointed the guy with best cv for the job. The CEO job is to maximise income which he has done fantastical well and to appoint the best qualified people on the football side he has done that and has been let down so he has taken decisive action and now landed a coup for new manager

 

I'm trying to get the scarf parade going on social media, I'm perfectly happy to support Mark Hughes and his appointment. It's unexpectedly good in terms of name value. His tactics probably aren't a million miles away from something that would work in L2 either.

I'm behind it.

I'm just tempering it by saying the club can't keep raising the stakes like this. There's a limit to what the club can do while it tries to avoid (what I perceive are) the real issues.

Rome was not built in a day. The appointment of Hughes is a massive statement at our current level and the fact he actually approached us , shows he believe's in our potential.
All we can do as supporters is turn up and back the boys.
Sustainable football , well 7000 at £200 = £1,400,000 OR 15000 = £3,000,000, bid difference to the playing budget and i am sure after speaking with Rupp and Sparks. Mr Hughes must have had some sort of assurance on what will be available to him. The football under Rupp's tenure has been dreadful, but we still need to play our part.
Hopefully the club is still going long after Rupp has gone and we fans are still putting our bums on the seats.

FWIW i thought Scarf parade was a good suggestion. Lets show Hughes we appreciate he’s here. Still can’t believe we’ve pulled it off. Board deserve a chance to back him. If he walks through lack of support, then fan revolt would be warranted.

personally, im giving them one more chance to learn from their mistakes of not backing Adams properly in the summer - Theo and Lavery in on the cheap etc. no loans - inagine if we’d had a player like Walker from August.
