Start the weekend early fellah. Leeds lose at QPR on Friday.

I'd take a Huddersfield Birmingham draw as long as Sheff Wednesday beat WBA., and Huddersfield are winning until the 97th minute.

Still think it will be Crawley, but imagine if we do pull off the miracle. Alexander having to win at MK to get to Wembley is all the story you'd need.

We needed to better Chesterfield's result, which was helped by the violence that took place at Hull that day as our game ran about 30min behind theirs, so we knew what we had to do prior to the game ending.

West Germany v Austria 1982 tends to spring to mind for that game. Both teams making no effort to attack safe in the knowledge both sets of fans go home happy with a draw.

I just hope GA doesn't do a Hughes and try to play it cautious. Let's throw the kitchen sink at Newport.
If Saturday is the end of our season then at least go out on a high with some barnstorming football.
A few weeks ago we were a million miles from this scenario we find ourselves in, so we've got a free hit here. Sh!t or bust!

Be even worse when we have number 7 chalked off for a misjudged offside in the 95th minute!

Times like this, I don't see any reason to expect anything. If it happens, wonderful, but I won't get upset if it doesn't. It's very unlikely, not in terms of each individual reult, but just expecting everything to go in our favour.

We can expect Crawley to struggle, we can expect Barrow to struggle, we can expect to win... but that's three moving parts right there and any one of then can go awry.

FWIW I think Crawley will get the win.

This is all above what we expected, so a bonus. None of us imagined playoffs. All we are in control of is our own game. We can’t do anything about the past games only the ones in front. We will just have to wait and see how it all transpires. You just never know with football.

Barrow and Crawley both to get goalies sent off and concede penalties in the 1st minute to go 1-0 down. I want to focus on our game knowing that we just need to win. Can't be arsed having to check the scores every 5 minutes while trying to focus on our game.

Original OB the match you referred to was on
4 may 1968 City and Crewe had 56 points going into last match of season City had a better goal average and needed 2 points to secure promotion
City were at home to Doncaster whilst Crewe were playing the champions Luton at home
True to form City could only draw but Crewe were leading 2-1 when the rumour spread that Luton had secured a late equaliser
It wasn’t true and City finished 5th whilst Crewe went up in 4th
City had done the double over Luton that season but also allowed Bradford to win their only away victory that season (and last ever away win) with Avenue winning 2-1 at Valley Parade

I think I might just listen in to what those around me are saying.

I suspect the scores will be made clear in good time without me actually having to check. But if it gets to like 20 minutes and I've not heard a thing, I probably will start checking lol

This league is totally bonkers this year isn't it? A couple of weeks ago our season looked dead and buried and around that same time, I posted praise for Donny but said I thought they'd left it a little too late to reach the playoffs. How wrong I was. We've had such a rubbish season so to be where we are going into the last game still with the slimmest of chances of making the playoffs just shows what a poor league this really is.
