Just a typical Bradford City signing isn't it. Over 30, cheap, unwanted and barely played over the last few years.

    We are an absolute embarrassment.

    Rupp out. Sparks out.

Baffling how the lad is a pile of shite and yet he hasn't even played for us yet. Oh hang on! He's 32 so must be a dud. Early thirties is a good age for a keeper.
Let's at least let's wait until he's made an appearance before we set up the kangaroo court

Upon signing for the Bantams, Walker said: “Firstly, it is an honour to be here at a football club of this magnitude. It is a privilege to be able to pull on the shirt and I am here to help the team and the club get back to where it belongs.

I see he has been given the well worn out board to read from.

Think he has a look of Stubbs.
What do people expect him to say in his first interview, Bradford are shite, and i am only joining to guarantee myself an income for the next x number of months/ years.
Any how- Walker up the front, Walker at the back, Bradford city all out attack , new chant for Saturday.

I Have watched Walker a few times since joining and I am impressed so far, although lewis was a great shot stopper, he had his faults, Walker is much better at commanding his box and coming for crosses, and never shuts up !!!

I won’t judge him until I see him in action. He no doubt will be doing his best.

Colchester fan on Sam Walker: "I'd say he's my favourite/the best goalkeeper we've had in the past twelve years and would gladly have him back here. It's a decent signing for League Two."

    Ok.

Also, on the plus side, he's ex-Colchester, who we play on Saturday, so bound to score :)

So what do we reckon? The consequence of good scouting, long term planning and someone we've had on our radar for a while? Or a desperate checking in little black books of existing staff for 'lets get in a good lad I've worked with before'....?

As long as he can kick the ball very far then he'll be OK in our present tactical set up.

I keep telling folk but some seem blind to it, all about balancing the books. No blame from me toward Sparks, he has a remit and he's doing well in that respect. Would have liked to seen us target a young up and coming keeper, even a loan from a higher division. The new signing just smacks of desperation.

Welcome to the club. Let’s hope you’re an upgrade on Lewis. I remember some people questioning the signing of Harry and he turned out ok.

There are only 48 first choice goalkeepers in Leagues 1 and 2. Quality wise those in Pl and Champ are out of reach. Plenty of decent GKs are thus backup, playing few games.

I would prefer it if we signed a respected NL keeper on the up, but c’est la vie, we needed to act fast and in he’s come.

It isn’t a signing from a long term planning stand point but clearly Doyle - who ‘gets it’ at City - thinks he’s good enough, so willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

One ofbthe best signings we ever made was here because he was in the last chance saloon and effectively unemployable. George Mulhall took a gamble, it worked.

Can we drop all the cynicism and give Alexander a chance to rebuild us over a decent period of time ?

It must be really hard to run a football club with 14,000 would be owners/ ceos/ managers all wanting there two pennorth.

And on that note, I'm taking a break from here because this nothing is ever good enough attitude is ruining my football life.

I was thinking this yesterday. Some were alluding that Walker would actually be good if not better in some ways than Lewis. Better mention this to Carlisle who thought it better to spend a transfer fee on Lewis when they could have had Walker for free.
I'd prefer us to move on and get behind Walker now if just that it puts boring journalism to bed.

Isn't that what everyone is doing now by suggesting he's better than Lewis Street what, half a dozen games?

    Knee jerk works both ways.
