Not necessarily transfer related but Salford have sacked Wood.
Shame really. We could have done with hammering them rather than having the match cancelled. With a decent appointment and some investment in January they could be a tricky opponent in the second half of the season.

Not surprising he's been sacked, 6 points from relegation and only 1 league win in 11 will see any manager in trouble. I think the links of Mark Hughes are the easy, lazy links. The reality for them is that they are in a relegation fight so they can't afford to get this wrong or they could go down.

Earlier in the season the reports were saying the most likely new manager for Salford would be Giggs so I would imagine it's more likely to be him than Hughes. Either that or Keane as there was talk Ratcliffe wants to bring him into United as an Assistant Manager but that Keane had been having talks with another club about a manager role.

Gigs maybe. Though Hughes will have a strong connection to the Class of 92 lot. He will have been an inspirational figure as they were breaking through.

Let Neville do it.
He tries to come across as some sort of fu@king football expert every time he appears on Sky.
On second thoughts, his stint at Valencia shows he might not be the right man. -
