Read my other post before jumping to conclusions. And as for Rupp mistakenly trusting him, please don't give me the rubbish that he's blameless cos I'm not having it. He's as culpable for letting it happen.

Not sure that was a lot to do with Rahic or Rupp they got lucky, having Parky walk within the first week or so of them taking over, fortunately Julian recommended McCall as they wouldn't have has a clue who to bring in, that much we can see once Rahic sacked McCall I will give them both credit for financing the new players being brought in.
So I can't agree that first season and our Wembley appearance was a lot to do with either of our owners they got lucky IMO.

Careful mentioning affordable tickets, you'll have the loonies demanding everybody pays double so we can have half the attendance and gain absolutely nothing whatsoever. Been there, done that.

Interesting concept this ifollow. We are currently getting more "bought" for home matches (excluding season tickets) than we could have hoped for in walk up at a match. That shows the appetite is still there. If we can keep this run going then I could see figures of 5,000 plus for away matches late in the season if a play off push materialises.

I'm no maths genius, but if Ifollow will cover the transfer fees paid by April, then we can't have paid that much in fees and we must be "washing our face" on wages and costs from home (season ticket) ifollow accounts, the costs saved from not actually staging matches and the Covid Grant we got.

True, but Lawn also oversaw the worst period in living memory between 2010 and 2012, so there are direct comparisons.

The club were recovering from debt stranglehold and the directors must take great credit for turning it round to give us 5 great years.

Jesus wept I ve already said this. I'm not a massive fan of Lawn but the fact stands his period of ownership saw one of the best periods of the club's history. Rupp has three years of failure and no success.

Alright, I'll give you that. We all want to forget Peter Taylor, Peter Jackson & Parky's first season anyway.

1 year of success, the first year we got to Wembley but of course we have to ignore that. I don’t see how there is no credit to the chairman when it goes right as in 2016/17 but hammer him when it goes wrong. Rahic deserves all the criticism in the world for destabilising the club but Rupp is trying to put it right but people want him out for some fantasy takeover which isn’t going to happen.

So have we got constant running hot water @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler for when we return to the stadium or is it all about hospitality and corporate?

Agree with the first 2 but Parky's first season saved us from oblivion.

Credit for him trying to put it right as he is probably wealthy enough to walk away and write off a bad experience. However,he is as responsible as ER for our situation. It is unbelievable that a successful businessman would trust a stranger with his investment without keeping an eye on what was happening. It should be no surprise if our fans would feel more secure if English business men with knowledge of English football and have backing could take over our club. It isn't happening at the moment but don't slag us off for hoping.

Trying to put it right it and actually putting it right are two different things. If and when Rupp achieves this i'll be the first to congratulate him. But, apart from the first season when the club was already on the crest of a wave started by the previous incumbents, all Rupp has done has seen us go backwards. Lets not heap praise on the man just yet.

Only just, there were a lot of bad results even under Parky in his first season. Took till just after Easter and the win at Northampton to secure our future. Mind you he took over an appalling squad built up by Jacko and Christie.

Of course, I'm embarrassed to expect such basics for the general supporter down at Valley Parade.

I found the post we're referring to out of touch.

But then, given the amount of adulation it got, maybe it's me that's out of touch.

Maybe we shouldn't be thinking as fans and what we would like and what we think we need, maybe we should think of ourselves as insurance policies to a stupid investment someone made a few years ago, all striving to get Stefan his money back by getting to the Championship so he can wash his hands AND his conscience clean. Hot water throughout the stadium is hardly a priority as it doesn't achieve that aim, Dave.

What helps that aim is to give Stefan a break, view Ryan as a very adequate CEO, somehow simultaneously back the managers and accept that they aren't ready and not worthy of a deal until June (whatever sense that makes), be happy that the execs are getting taken care of because that's cheaper than ensuring stadium-wide basics like warm water are in place, and assume that by signing 32 year old forwards, we're going to be a force in League One with just a little pinch of optimism.

But look, personally I don't care about warm water, I'm happy to wash my hands in ice cold Yorkshire dew, I don't care too much about the pitch either, I criticised the obsession with nice grass a couple of years back when we weren't even playing a style of football that would have benefitted (when mugs voted that as a priority over the wage budget, bizarrely), but what does bother me is the ridiculously myopic viewpoint of the powers that be at City.

We literally have nothing if our form hits a brick wall. We don't even have a manager we can expect to survive a three-game losing streak. All we have is a massive, great, big red reset button that we've been hitting time and again to absolutely no effect since Edin lost his mind in the Winter of 2018 (with majority support of the fans, I might add, who have become ravening loons every time we lose a couple of games - Edin taught them to smell blood, no? Smell blood they do).

So yeah, fine, if people like me are out of touch, that's absolutely okay with me, the tide will inevitably turn and the decisions that are currently supported as of February 2021 are far less likely to be supported if we fail to make the play offs this year or the next.

For what it's worth, I think we can still hit them, my words aren't pessimistic words, I'm looking both ways here - although I can't help but feel reprimanded by the nonsense and vitriol posted by a member of the higher ups. I just want us to do the right things, augment our opportunities, cement our position as a progressive club, and go forward. Some good ways to do that? Hand Trueman and Sellars a four month deal with a clause to extend by a year, forget supporting Stefan and try to find a replacement ASAP, get over the fake idea there aren't any 'mythical' people willing to buy the club (there are, just not at Stefan's desired rate), and install some more footballing people at the club.
