What's the point of an interview if Sparks won't share his thoughts.
The following extract tells us nothing other than to speculate that Sparks may believe the asking price for the club is set too high!
It may rock the boat with the owner if RS spoke how he truly felt, however the boat needs rocking, tell us that opinion!

“It’s not really for me to comment on what I think the club’s worth, though I see various different alleged figures banded around.
“I have an opinion on it and there are many factors as to why I would have that opinion. I am sure other people would think differently, but these are matters for the owner, and not the chief executive."

Without doubt, Sparks has a lot of experience in 'Media Communications'. Like many other similar experts in the corporate world, he is more than capable of speaking a lot whilst saying nothing!

My club feels soulless under this stewardship.

The interview is the perfect example of "Job Preservation". Tell them nothing, keep it vague, ignore the issues and protect those above you.

So, definitively, there has been interest from potential buyers. 3 under Sparks tenure alone, so that's an average of one a year. So any suggestion as to 'well, who'd want to buy us?' is clearly guff. There's interest. And the response to the question on asking price is pretty telling. It doesn't take much to connect the dots and conclude that asking price is the material issue as to why interest hasn't progressed.

Just f**k off Rupp, and Sparks, and let someone who'se interested and capable have a fair crack at taking this club forward. Not only is it what the fans deserve, it'll stave off the likely demise of the club under your stewardship.

Why not; every man and his dog has an opinion on how much our club is worth. A CEO who cannot be open with the fans in order to not ths rock the boat or save his own job is not what the fans want to hear.

What Rupp fails to understand is this; whatever you paid for it is was your choice. Investments go down ie ppl lose money. The club has not prospered under your stewardship we have gone backwards therefore you are not going to get what you paid for it with interest. So it will be worth considerably less. If you do not sell soon, you will have to invest big time or we will get relegated and will be worth not very much.

If I were Rupp, I would sell at whatever price I could get, cut my losses and only come back to the UK on "other business", a businessman who in four years doesn't realise he isn't cut out to own a football club is no businessman.

The club will continue to suffer under these two.

Neither should be in the positions they hold.

A combination of these points, lead me to suspect (purely speculative on my part), that he may be taking dividend payments out for himself.

People replying and commenting on Rupp's brain or business mind are hilarious. Just because we don't like the guy for what is happening at the club, it doesn't mean he isn't a very successful business man with clear intelligence. There's a reason he owns a football club and none of us do!

You missed the bit about being suckered into buying the club.

Yes, of course he’s a successful businessman. No one disputes that. But, for all his business acumen, he was badly suckered into buying a football club, outside all of his expertise, on a spurious promise of PL football in five years and the associated money and prestige that go with it.

When it all went t!ts up, he promised to put right the damage that his charlatan sidekick caused. And, TBF, he put some money in to repay Rahic’s overspend and keep us going through Covid. But since then he’s been as hands off as possible. He’s replaced Rahic with a good commercial manager, but one who has no football experience. His only strategy seems to be to cross his fingers and hope we hit lucky with another Parky to get us out of the khazi on a shoestring, so that he can get his money back. Meanwhile, the club is drifting ever downward and dying from the inside.

How long does he need in order to see that this just isn’t working? We’re going through managers like a dose of salts but remain in inexorable decline? Surely at some point he has to cut and run and sell to a genuinely interested buyer for whatever he can get? And that needs to happen before we drift into non league. He owes us that much for the damage his tenure has done to our club.
