Think you are right. We paid for new seats didnt we, and the new scoreboard was from the Tifosi fan thing, which the club oversaw, rather than Gibb financing.

If the ground is for sale for 5 million and Rupp won’t buy it then the fans should step up.
1000 fans x £5000? Is that possible?
Club pays £300 a year or a free season ticket for 25 years to those 1000 people meaning £7500 paid back by the club in total.
Club saves £200k in rent per year.

 

Scoreboard is cosmetic. Seats would be considered maintenance. But if there’s a fundamental issue with the structure of the stadium, there’s no way that should be our liability. And if it is, we 100% need to achieve a buy back, or leave.

The ground is a fully repairing lease not rent which means the club is legally liable for all repairs. The new lease will run for 25 years with the yearly lease payment starting at around £550k per annum with increases every 5 years of around 15%

 

We absolutely cannot let that happen.

 

Ends in 3 years. If Gibb refuses to sell then the club should leave VP and deal with whatever consequences that brings. It worked for Coventry and it can work for us too.

 

Then he definitely aint gonna sell. How much did he buy it for, something like 2.5m 20 years ago? I suppose he might be worried we get relegated and then end up going out of business and he's left with a rather glamourous car park. Come on Gibbo...get back on board!

 

What are the Options or implications for the faulty roof?

Would we need to move out, as in does that make the whole ground unsafe to have people in it?

Can we make safe the roof and have just have fans in three sides of the ground?

Just how unsafe is it and have we time and funds to repair close season?

I'm sceptical is as far as This is seemingly quite a big issue and shouldn't be kept under wraps, the fact it hasnt makes me think it's nonsense.

But, if it is true, we are selling season tickets now in areas which could be deemed unsafe and as such you are going to have your seats moved at some point. Shouldnt fans be warned of this?

 

I’m not sure the Kop roof will come tumbling down on top of fans but you know what health and safety is like these days. I’m guessing the Kop will have to close but it won’t matter if only 5000 in the ground.

This roof thing is someone allegedly listening in to a private conversation between some alleged American potential buyers. I wouldn’t let it put you off buying a ticket.

 

If any repairs are needed they will be done in the closed season. Worry not

 

Surely the kop roof will be insured
Maybe a healthy excess to pay but the bulk should be covered
IF there's a fault

 

Could be wear and tear and if so it will have to be repaired.
