Thanks Dennis, very clear. In that case, its pretty poor that the club is saddled with the debt that accured due to Rupp's negligence in the first place. Though of course, its possible that the debt might be written off in the future (which I'd doubt).

It's even more reason to pile pressure on Rupp to EITHER back Sparks by bringing in a competent DoF (or whatever else people want to call it, since there's some misunderstanding about a DoF) OR replace Sparks with said individual.

There is no other satisfactory option.

I think everyone would agree with that, except those pretending everything is fine somehow.

For Rupp to feel "pressure" he would have to care about the club He obviously doesn't otherwise things would be very different As long as Sparks is protecting his pocket he won't care either
It's up to the fans to hit him where it hurts in the pocket they already have our ticket money for this season but not spending down at VP would be a start
Unfortunately we have a nucleus of fans who would still be happy with Derek Adams in charge and have blind faith in how the club is being run (into the ground)

Even that wouldn't help hit his pocket immediately as the caterers and others pay us a flat fee, irrespective of the level of turnover generated over the counter.

Such companies may look to amend the agreement if fans boycotted, but i do think such action is pointless mid season.

the only way to drive him out is not to buy a ST next summer. Had this discussion before and some fans are too attached to their seats to join the boycott, as they dont want to lose them, which undermines the process somewhat, but it is the only way.

while fans turn up he thinks its all hunky dory.

Sustainability my arse, I say. Shake the club up, show some ambition. Recruit football people and give this club some direction back and a vision, Stefan!

we’re just existing at the moment and serve little purpose.

True, but the man is also ego driven and wouldn't want his reputation put into question through the media.

He won't want to look bad in Germany.

There are ways and means of putting the pressure on.

We once had an owner who possessed all the qualities you list and guess what…it’s the only time we’ve ever had real success in our entire history and probably will ever again in my lifetime and my kids lifetime, yet some on here would never want another owner like him ever again.

I firmly believe that if we’d gone into liquidation back in 2002 that we’d have risen back up a lot stronger and probably be in a no worse position than we are today.

@Kevin1954@Kevin1954 seems to spend most of his spare time on this forum but when did he last attend a match?
Hasn’t been to Bradford in over 20 years so he said in a previous post.
    Hypocrisy of the highest level.

With current interest rates at 5%, if his loan of 1.7 million is interest free which I believe is true ,then far from taking money out of the club as people loved to claim it’s costing him annually . Mark Lawn for instance took out 9% every year in interest payments for his 1 million loan. No problem with that as he took a risk lending us the money. We also lost about £800 K in the COVID season 2020/21 with no crowds at the ground on top of a 2 million loss his business partner racked up, so Rupp has been required with his wealth.

Genuinely think that’s the only thing that would get him to get up and listen is to call him out In the press. Only time I’ve seen him act and be emotive was the WAGMI scandal when he instructed his legal aide to get an apology.

Hate to say it and would loathe to do but some kind of demonstration in the ground/outside the ground would get press attention- never know German media could pick it up and I think he’d be mortified. The flyover spooked him I reckon as the national attention he’d hate.

I'm not sure what point you're making. As I said, Riupp made a loan to the club of £1.7m to make good the financial mess that Rahic caused. I've not heard anybody say that Rupp didn't do that and was right to do so.

You then referred to a loss in 20/21 (the 2nd season of Covid) of £0.8m which is correct per the accounts. Are you suggesting that Rupp had to loan the club more money to finance that loss?

What makes you think he's overly egotistical?

The only thing I've seen in recent years that lets people know that he owns the club is the branding on one of his sports cars.

It's not like he's making pronouncements in the press about what he is or isn't going to do. Or appearing on the pitch at VP with a microphone.

He doesn't come across as the 'big I am' at all to me. I don't like what's happened at the club since he bought it, but that's more to do with his lack of interest and oversight than his supposed over-inflated ego causing issues. His original partner, absolutely, but I don't see that in SR.

I haven’t, I watch live home and away . I live in Norfolk, do keep up. Everybody who can read knows where we live . For the record we lived in Bishops Stortford for 20 years and three of us had season tickets for 10 of them not counting the season tickets when we lived in Bradford.

You need to try harder pal. I don’t need to use an Avatar that somehow professes loyalty. It does impress me.

Dennis confirmed he lent the club £1.7 m at some stage . Check out his useful post. Certainly informative

Perhaps Save Us was a tad strong RT. Perhaps got us out of the sheet created by his partners idiocy.
