Rupp & Sparks Out?

We seem to know the answer, its how do we tell Herr Rupp that Sparks and Gent are not the answer. Sparks is doing the job asked of him, and he appointed gent. It is frustrating, you have just got to hope that given a fair crack of the whip, GA will get it right. If he had been here all season we would probably be sat in a playoff place, the squad would look different, the football might not be overly pretty though, which is acceptable if it gains results. Which is the ultimate game.

 

We’d have been in a play off place had we not lost both Walker and Pattinson in the same game at Doncaster just before Christmas.

 

How on earth can you say that with such certainty? Just admit we have signed a poor squad and move on

 

It’s not with certainty but we lack goals and both have a good record with goals from midfield.Surely even with your bitter hatred against this regime which sorry to disappoint you are not going anywhere anytime soon, you must admit we’d have been doing much better with those two fit all season.

 

Who knows, they improve our team certainly. But we signed them with injury records which are questionable, so it was never highly likely they’d stay fit. Another factor is other teams get injuries, Stockport and Mansfield have had far more than us this season yet are comfortably above us. Sadly to myself and others it’s excuses and we are where we are, saying this is what you could have won is scant consolation to those of us sick of this regime. You may not be and I’m envious to your staying power and loyalty to rubbish, but lots now are absolutely fed up.

 

Sorry mate, you are totally confusing "bitter hatred" with "fed up of continuous failure". As I said earlier the majority of supporters are feeling the same

After all, when was the last time we were so unbelievably disconnected to the club, that a supporters group was set up just to try and force answers from it's CEO & owner?? I honestly do not comprehend how a minority of fans (yes, you are in the minority) can continue sticking up for these idiots who don't even have the common decency or courtesy to offer an open forum of any kind!

 

Not sticking up for them,just quoting a fact that they have spent far more on the pitch than any other owner,something you seem to ignore. Not sure it’s a majority that hates Rupp either,a message board doesn’t represent every fan, most dont care who owns the club.

 

It’s nothing to do with wether I support this regime,simply stating that had both Pattinson and Walker remained fit they would have scored the goals that would have us in the playoffs now. Walker had five up to Christmas and Pattinson had three in about seven games. Surely that’s not too controversial but apparently is for some on here.

All teams have injuries also. Part of the game.

Either way if you think being midtable and just battling for play offs is acceptable then I can’t help you.

 

Of course it’s not acceptable but surely even you must realise that losing two very influential players who both can score goals is a bit of a blow. This has nothing to do with the ownership, Ryan Sparks, Mark Lawn, Sir Keir Starmer, or anyone else, just a harmless comment that losing two good players is rather costly.

 

What's the answer Fordy. not re-newing season tickets, Barrow, Accrington, Crewe , Harrogate, Crawley, Morecambe all with smaller budgets than ours and some by a fair bit. Rupp would just get Sparks to trim the cloth .
We all want an improvement in the club's fortunes.
I have said it many times , we have enough finance, its how it is spent and who is spending it , that.s what we need to get across. If the fans groups could get a face to face with Rupp, maybe we could get that over to him.

 

GA or MH all season this squad is destined for 11th-15th place that’s with Walker and Patto.

No where near good enough in the final 3rd and that’s with aprox 75% of our squad in those spaces.

 

We didn’t really see Pattison and Walker play much together, so who knows if the team would have clicked with them together. Hell world class players like Lampard and Gerrard struggled to click in the same team. Not sure people think it’s particularly controversial, just an optimist what if, and them sort of opinions probably won’t always go down to well when we’ve had 7 years of regression and sit 15th in league 2. The fan base in rightly pissed off, but unfortunately very divided and fractured.

 

And even in our "Bloated" squad we have no replacements !!!
It has everything and more to do with Ryan Sparks he authorised the no hopers on long and short contracts

i am sure there are plans, just not well thought out or executed.

 

If you don’t think the majority of fans are wanting Rupp and sparks gone, then I’m afraid you’re in denial and there’s no helping you

Creating a brand new supporters group that gains almost 1000 members in a matter of a weeks, is not a minority. I’m not a stupid person CG, I see the wider picture. There is much more noise being made regarding the discontent than this message board. For instance, go to MK or Swindon for example, to watch the team not turn up, and listen to the crowd. That ain’t no minority I can tell thee

 

It's costly because we haven't recruited well enough to account for such an eventuality, which is criminal given their injury records were known before they signed.
As has been pointed out in another post, Stockport and Mansfield have had more injuries than us yet sit at the top of the table. Losing influential players hasn't hampered them because they have strength in depth and it's cost us because we don't.

 

Actually it’s about 5% of the fan base
