Just been reading the news on the BBC. Absolutely one of the most famous goals ever in footy, never get tired of seeing it. But watching the video, doesn’t it take you back to a totally different time? The pitch, the tackle and the general feel about the F.A. Cup.The constant for me is the ability this game has to make indelible impressions on people. This weekend maybe some other bloke will make a name for himself but R.I.P Ronnie Radford. There’s a whole bunch of people out there will never forget that strike.

At the end of that season, Hereford were elected to the Football League in place of Barrow on the strength of their cup run. My friend, who was the football reporter for the local Barrow paper lost his job, as there was no demand for a football reporter in non-league
Now the reformed Hereford are fighting back and Barrow, against the odds, are back in the FL and prospering under Pete Wild
