    Sad news a really good midfielder in the 1970s especially our 75/76 FA cup run and our promotion season the year after. R.I.P Rod Johnson.

    Rest in peace Rodney. Remember him from my first years as a fan. Seem to remember he had quite a hard shot, remember him scoring a cracker v Bolton one pre season at Valley Parade.

    Very sad.I said hello to him at a friendly game,he was in charge of
    the City team at Bridlington Town late 70's.

    He was a classy player and at 74 not a great age.

    R.I.P Rod,quite a few City stalwarts gone now.

    A sad loss at any time but more so just before Christmas.
    A good midfield player not scared of a good tackle, we speak of the likes of Mike Kennedy as being hard midfielder but Rodney could handle himself when needed
    Condolences to his family.
