The public service gravy train, where dunderhead, talentless & unimaginative managers spend careers not making decisions whilst ring fencing their own positions and waiting for pensions, that is their purpose in life. I see it with my own eyes, things I could never have imagined whilst working in the private sector or running a business. How come this guy has not had his £135k per annum talents head hunted by the private sector?
Their wages? They should be paid more! Less cradle to grave public sector managers and fewer private sector ones, who have achieved, attracted in. Where I work, my colleague is another guy who ran a business and approaching retirement, we both agree that we wouldn't employ anybody we work with, never mind the managers.
Taxes? People/businesess are (generally) happy to accept a fair tax rate and pay it. Start making it what they perceive as unfair and you'll end up with less tax paid.
