Paudie as a squad player?! Really, he’s been watched by championship teams recently he will have no problem getting a game in league 1, one of the players that’s always gives 100% and probably one of the better centre backs in the league he just played in-front of poor quality goal keepers and inconsistent back fours so has never been able to form a good partnership

 

That's left back sorted then

 

He gets himself caught in as many compromising positions as Boris Johnson.

The lad gives 100% and he’s not a bad player at this level to have, but a few are getting carried away he’s certainly no Andrew Davies at the back.

I've seen enough of Watt in a Stuart side and a Trueman side to make my opinion thanks. Gone for me. Too many hollywood balls and gives away too many free kicks. Couldn't tackle a girl guide with both her legs tied up.

 

Which championship clubs? Should be worth a laugh.

 

Watt had some decent games for a first full season in professional football in a struggling team, he’d do okay in a 3 man midfield with someone who could tackle next to him. Cooke at times was singled out by other commentators and fans last season as our stand out player.

Neither are great but not so bad that they aren’t worth keeping as squad players. If you’re expecting better to come and fight from the bench for a starting spot in league 2 you might be left disappointed.

 

Hendrie is significantly better than FCD and light years ahead of Threlkeld.
It'll be interesting to see how many starts Oscar 'can do no wrong' Threlkeld gets now that his guardian angel has gone.

 

I'd rather have FCD in than Threlkeld. He's young and has scope for improvement. Threlkeld is just poor.

Hes struggled to put a pass in this season and has gone backwards. So it’s no for me.

 

Let's see how he does now though.

Not sure Adams style suited him. Attack as fast as you can isn't ideal for a technical midfielder.

 

Well, he's young, and I think if we had the chance to sign a young midfielder with his pedigree and experience we would all want to.

Watt is one good season away from having resell value, and we need all the value we can get if we're running sustainably.

 

I’d like to see Watt and Cooke in particular in the last 15 games, they have been terrible under Adams it’s their chance to show it was him not them.

Happy to keep Hendrie and Foulds, solid league 2 squad players.

Sutton always gives 100% can’t really pass, but good player at league 2.

Vernam only exciting player at the club imo, direct and fast. Inconsistent but so was Kyle Reid and he’s at least a bit younger and two footed than Reidy. Again good player at this level.

Paudie not as good as some think, but he’s another 100% player and as a squad player there wouldn’t be many better rotation players playing CB at this level so happy to keep.

We need our heads testing if we keep any of the others.

If I’m honest though I wouldn’t be upset if any of them left tbh, non are stand out league 2 players who give you that quality to take the game by the scruff of the neck on and sort of regular occurrence. A sad state of where the clubs at.

 

Prefer to make a judgement nearer end of season once the weight of Adams is off the backs of players and allowed to express themselves, Some are obvious as high earners/not playing but others could be worth keeping if they earn it
