Relegation fight.

I’d prefer it if he disappeared up his own orrifice to be honest. He wouldn’t know the right thing if it fell on him out of the sky! It’s pretty clear he’s convinced that his way is best and he’s fixed on that.

I agree, public confessions might be a stretch for him. It was Rupp who did the apologising last season.

 

Edin needs to act quickly and decisively getting rid of Abbot, Collins and the other assistant turnip, He need to recruit an experienced manager and let him bring his own staff in and then stay out of the way and let him get on with his job,
Otherwise relegation beckons

 

As I have said since the summer no one else was prepared to take on the job Grayson and McCann turned it down or refused interviews as I believe did a few others. Collins was the last resort end of.

 

According to radio Leeds we've only had 13 shots on target this season , how bad is that. We need to do something but it's ok having all the members on here trying to do whatever we decide to do but what about the other 14,000 or so fans. We could say right let's boycott all home games and just stand outside VP and protest but you can guarantee you will still get half of the fans attending the game. We need a united front and drive these idiots out of our club.

 

We have no way of knowing this. The cheap season ticket's worked well initially because they were a novelty, then they worked well because of our success. I think it's just as likely that fans abandon us in droves and then don't come back because they can't face the years of struggle that they saw in league 2 again. I know i'd be having second thoughts. I can remember making a bargain with no one in particular, maybe with God if he exists, at one of our lowest points in league 2, and that bargain was "I swear that I'll be content if we never have to play in this sh*t league again, even if we never get back to the Premiership. as long as we never drop down to this league again I can live with it."

Someone make a case for us having a better squad now.

Because if I had to make a combination team with what we have now, O'Donnell and Scannell would get in, Payne or Reid would be 50-50. Doyle would get in over Wells (the Wells of that season).

The rest would be the league two lot.

Andrew Davies and Luke Oliver at the back. With Ramsen and either Seip or Threlfall, or Luke O Brown at full back.

Ravenhill and any of Bullock, Syers or Flynn in the middle.

The majority of this side wouldn't get in the league 2 side we had that just stayed up.

 

I am sure we'll go down but when the dust settles and we need somebody to pull everything back together so that we can sell enough ST's to mount a challenge, then I can only think of PP or SmC who could do that. Yikes!

 

Absolutely true, but the flaw is it wouldn’t be abbo who sold season tickets because he is tainted by this administration.

Only a member of the 1999/99 team (or Stuart/ parky) would do that as a “name”, Jamie Lawrence or peter Beagrie perhaps.

Anything else would be a slow build back up of fan base, facilitated by a very good and successful manager.

 

I agree but only Abbo is here now, and in position to hopefully ensure there is something still in VP to build on. Whatever input he is having is only to slow the inexorable decline.

 

Collins is the patsy

 

I don't like the personal criticism of him either, but what's he supposed to do at 32, refuse the BCFC job? What's he supposed to do with a garbage, lop sided & striker-light squad? We're fooked, there'll be a replacement for Collins and rightly so but he'll fail too.

 

No but don't worry, we've signed our only target, a teenage midfielder who gives the ball away.

 

If we go into div 2 and Edin is still here, I won't bother with a ST. If he is gone however, we can fight our way back and I will support it.

 

There’s only one reason I would renew in those circumstances and that would be to preserve the seat ive sat in since the upper kop opened.

I guess I’m lucky enough to be able to buy a season ticket and not attend, but I wouldn’t want to give up my seat and have to start again with new “seat mates” once they’d gone.

Even if @The Outsider is a negative pain in the arse for 22/23 matches a season. Luv ya ray

 

I've been watching City since 3rd Division North days (tbh they weren't very good then either) and for the first time I just want them to keep losing by huge amounts so this bunch of clowns give up and go home.

 

The three appeared to accept an offer - from our owner rhat others were not willing to without guarantees - without consideration to where the strategy and parameters Mr Rahic set that presented risks to our club.
To date we have witnessed the deficiencies of the approach, including Mr Rahic impression of being an ostrich, alienating fans, others in football circles and lack of experience from our head coach. His actual admission he will coach with what he is given in the pulse intetview said a lot about what he has signed up to.

 

Unless there's a vast improvement I reckon Collins has got no more than 3 more games. There's a nice empty week between the away match at Donny and the winnable home match against Bristol Rovers, after that we're playing twice a week for 3 weeks which wouldn't be a great time to get someone new in because they wouldn't have as much time at the training ground to get things sorted.
