We are all hurt by this but argument after the event won't change anything. As I hear the Ref has been dropped from the list for two games which shows what someone thinks about him. Yes we have been hard done by, Sunderland, Luton penalty and several others, in my view 4-5 points potentially but there is a phrase "play to the whistle", the whistle never came and four of our lads were stuck upfield, not sprinting back, leaving us light and we got punished. I'm sure Garry has made that point this week.

Yes agreed, I was just trying to get ultimately the point of trying to understand what had caused all the confusion and that in turn has led to a debate on the laws.

As I’ve said to others on this thread, we can’t blame the officials for where we are right now.

Like you’ve said, really the focus of the players should have been dealing with the quick goal kick, particularly given there wasn’t any indication at the time from the officials that anything might be wrong.

image.jpeg Interesting in tonight's England game, a quick goal kick was taken by England with players of both sides still in the box and nobody batted an eyelid, and the ref and linesman just let play continue.

To be fair that's very borderline. It's not clear cut.

As they should, because that scenario is fine in the laws.

One assistant and for a while the ref at Oxford seemed to misinterpret that part of the laws.

Mr Antony Coggins is our man in black this afternoon, the last game he refereed for us we got hammered 4 - 0 at Luton.

Isn’t it that you can’t touch it in the area?

Because of the way he handled the situation and because the only reason he eventually got the decision right was down to the other assistant. I’m guessing it’s that.
