Interesting month ahead clubs recalling a fair few players from league two. Is it cos lacking of game time or performances have been excellent and back in plans at original clubs. How clubs going to cope with vital loans being recalled may change the way the table is looking.

Agreed. No real loss losing either apart from them probably being FOC or at least very cheap.

do the wages of loan players count towards the average for the salary cap?

Yes if we're paying them. Loan fees may not if that goes to the club and not the player (like a transfer fee)

I think Hosannah would look decent in a 442. We also have cover in FCD so don't need to be flogging him to death if he looks like he needs taking back out.

At the moment I think Hosannah is the nearest thing we have to a right winger

Before he got injured Hosannah was, by a frighteningly large distance, our best player. I don't understand this desire to send him back.
No doubt Leeds will be paying some of his wages so he won't be taking up much of our salary cap. When fit again he is a strong contender for a starting place at either fullback or wide midfield. Or at the very least a really good bench option to bring on. He has pace, control and can both cross and shoot - all attributes we are very short of. Why on earth would we send him back?

How many games has he missed since he came? Always seems injured that’s why no loss to me

He got an injury. He's recovering from it. It happens. There's no evidence that he's a habitual sicknote, is there? In which case, once he's recovered he should be an asset for the rest of the season. He's clearly got the potential to play higher than L2 level.

this is the problem with big clubs having big squads, hoovering up talent and sticking it in a poxy boys league. at 20 he (and Samuels) should be ready for mens football, and had they been in a league two academy they would be but are just not strong enough to hack real contact football.

the big clubs ruin good talent by pampering it.

I'd 100% keep Bryce Hosannah if possible, he's got some real gifts.

I've no idea what he is, though, as he seemed to play a free role under Stuart. I had no idea what position he was meant to be playing in most of his games, it never seemed to tally with the expected formations people draw up. That isn't a concern in itself, particularly given that Stuart was a gung-ho manager operating Chimeric tactics, but I would like to see him show a little positional discipline if he did stay.

Maybe Leeds will look at his performances and say he should be in a Championship club, though, given that he basically played like he was the only good player on the pitch in most of his games.

If he wasn't permanently injured due to being wrapped in cotton wool at Leeds academy, yes.

Just seen Newport have had 5 players recalled today from their loans. They've lost some big players who they may not be able to replace which just shows the dangers of relying on loans.

Be interesting to see how they cope.

Not guaranteed to capitulate by any means.

He was carrying an injury from the Tonbridge game but instead of leaving him out to fully recover SM carried on playing him. Had to come off early in two or three games after that but still no rest and eventually something broke as it always does without rest. He is no sicknote, just unfortunate that SM failed to see the problem until it was too late.
