    Don't think he played many games for us but saw him many times in his Huddersfield heyday, best left back in England in his time..
    Last saw him in a village pub near Halifax about 10 years ago, wished I could have spoken to him..

    Ray was a great defender. RIP.

    In the 90's I was sitting next to Denis Law at a Sportsman's Lunch the company I worked for was sponsoring, and we talked about Bradford City and Ray's time at Valley Parade.

    He told me that Ray Wilson was happy in his career as a funeral director. However, when their ex-Town manager Bill Shankley died Denis phoned all the former players to let them know the funeral was the following Thursday. "Oh no" was Ray's reply " I've got one then". He thought he was being offered the ceremony!
