That's a shame, the ratings were an excellent addition to Claret and Banter.

 

Hated the ratings so delighted they’re not coming here, regularly killed debate and we’re so often just childish crap that led to too many arguments as a result. The debate on here is a million times better, the like system is perfect and to disagree you have to explain why, promotes conversation. It’s nice to see a good well run board with a settled design anyway, C&B often tried too hard to mix it up unnecessarily.

 

Bring back the hats off.

 

On the old site those that didn’t want to use the ratings didn’t have to use them. Don’t like your posts being disliked? Great, simply turn them off.

It really was that easy.

 

I have to say, there feels to be less negativity and fewer niggly little arguments here.

I'd say emoji ratings were definitely guilty of starting bickering at times on BT.

Don't miss them one bit, and don't feel the need to issue them.

 

You saw it on the old site NM, it happened. You could say that if a grown adult has to use a poop emoji to get across his opinion then they are the problem.

Bit too much censorship going on with this board. What's wrong with a thread going off topic ? If you don't like it don't read it. Off topic makes for a bit of fun. As for emoji's - bring em on. The world is far too woke and a bit of emoji using is needed to bring us back in line. It's hardly cyber bullying.

I've just had my response to this deleted (which was "more chance of getting a cesar salad") because it's culinary related and if I want to talk food I need to start a separate thread. Absolute embargo on fun on this board. Why delete that and not the original post which is also culinary as it's "pie" in the sky"
