    They’re not needed. We have lots of emojis already. We just need the ability to agree or disagree to a post without having to provide a response.

    Providing the ability to use emojis just causes unnecessary conflict by those using them to try to get some “shits and giggles”. Don’t do it Karl

    Hang on, just like Brexit, do folk know what they are voting for? Something like “Ratings ye or nay” doesn’t actually conform what type of ratings we are talking about.

    I’ve already agreed with you that we should have ratings such as “Agree” or “Disagree”. Even “Like” or “Dislike”. But there is no need for emoji ratings. They add no value whatsoever. So if I was voting for the aforementioned ratings, I’d answer ‘yes’ to the poll. But if you were asking for a free-for-all style rating, I’d be vehemently against...!

    Now that would deserve a "funny"!

    Thus my opinion hasn't changed. Adding ratings etc. is rather a solution looking for a problem that doesn't here exist. The "like" button stands in very well for any of: like, agree, funny, thank you, and any other positive responses. Common courtesy, along with the point of a discussion forum, suggest that negative responses, e.g. dislike and disagree, should be explained in greater detail.

    Like Karl said, the majority didn't vote so didn't care for it, surely you can see that the bickering on this thread is proof enough that it isn't needed regardless of if you think an emoji would get rid of this sort of stuff.

    Blue = Big losers, no ambition, know nothing about football but taking part is what matters
    Light Blue = Not quite as big a loser but still no ambition and still know nothing about football but still took part and so on until ..

    Silver = First loser but has lots of ambition and knows more about football than Rahic
    Gold = Winner. Knows everything about football and it's combined with tonnes of ambition!

    Our setup isn’t exactly the same as C&B so we have unique conflicts that wouldn’t have been the case over there. Also the reactions plugin for our version of XF is a different one to the one they used. Due to incompatibilities with the original hosting server software and XF 2 we are using 1.5 where as C&B were on XF2. If we were using the current hosting where we have full control of all the server software it would have been a different matter. Mind you even if we were using the same XF and hence the same plugin it still wouldn’t solve the problem that it replaces the Like system so if we enable it and let people opt out those people lose the Like system just because they don’t want involved with reactions and the potential negative aspects of that.

    There is also always the consideration that at some point we will need to upgrade to XF 2.1 so spending too much time on something which would need replaced isn’t alway the best thing. 1.5 is more stable and efficient than 2.1 right now so it’s not a pressing need but there will be point where 2.1 is both as stable, more efficient, more feature rich and more secure

    It is a ‘match by match’ league. All you do is predict a score and scorers. As you would have predicted the team losing virtually every week, then you would have done relatively well.;)
