I can't see Billy Sharp being happy about training at a school!

 

He's never going to train at a school either

 

Which makes it even more concerning, giving him a rest my arse, same as Hughes brought Banks off 2 minutes after setting up our equiliser at Carlisle.
I don't think even with better players around him Cook will get near last seasons total but I'd certainly have him down as our leading goal scorer for the 4th season in a row, with possibly around the 20 mark.

 

Your last sentence makes no sense. It's a football forum where folk debate things. Just because you don't agree with an opinion doesn't mean it shouldn't be a debate topic.

As far-fetched, unrealistic and repetitive it is, we’ve lost Clayton who was an experienced and influential squad member. His impact from Jan up until his injury helped us secure the payoff spot. Sharp would bring this same influence to the squad, plus other on field benefits.

……..however it ain’t gonna happen!! That said it’s good this rumour has started early this season! No pre-season would be complete without it.

 

There are strong rumours Doncaster Rovers John Ryan is returning, and will be investing in the club.

Ryan led Doncaster to their 'golden years'.

Billy Sharp is a beloved figure at Donny, and I suspect if Sharp signed for any League Two team - it would be them, with Ryan back at the helm.

I'd say we're probably fourth or fifth in line, but it's a nonsense rumour anyway.

I think we'll get 1 more in, hopefully some experience given all our CBs are between 23 & 25. With Platt, Stubbs and X CB in the starting line and Odusina and Kelly as back ups.

Interested to see what is in Kelly. Might be inexperienced in England, but has had 144 starts in Ireland across all his clubs. Same ball park as Platt (145 career starts excluding U21 games for Blackburn) and more than Stubbs (123 career starts excluding Boro u21s) and Odusina (90 career starts excluding Norwich u21s).

Worth nothing is we go back 3, that's the system that Hartlepool fans said Odusina turned into a great looking defender using, after looking ropey in a back 4, looked far better in a back 3/5.

 

Superb signing. Really intelligent player and will make Notts a massive threat next year.

 

Eisa filled in on occasion too. Bizarre to suggest its alien for Hughes to play 2 up top!!!

All this nonsense Fordys spouts about training at a school didn't put MH or other signings off.

It's a lovely setting down there and I interstand the facilities are very good
