    Maybe but he was still averaging not far off 1 in 2 for City before his stellar season and I'm more than confident he'd get 20+ again next year if we can give him the service.

    He's a very good striker at this level and it's about time some on here started giving him the credit he deserves.

    Think about it logically. We play one up front and have just handed Cook, who scored 30 goals last season, a shiny new 3 year contract.

    IF, we had decent money to spend on a star signing, why on earth would it be in the one position that's already likely filled?

    I see no reason why Cook couldn't get 20-25 goals again next season with quality players around him. He's a better player now than he was when he joined us, quite possibly that's down to Hughes' coaching. He's never relied on pace either so age shouldn't make much difference. Some of his individual goals were absolutely class last season

    If there is any truth in the Sharp rumour then there would have to be a big change in Hughes tactics. He hasn’t played two up with us yet
