Rail Strike Update: City v Charlton Athletic

    Northern have just published their strike timetable, for Saturday, and in a change to previous strike days, as it stands at the moment there will be NO trains (or replacement buses) in or out of Forster Square on Saturday.

    There will also be a very limited service between Leeds and Bradford Interchange, with an hourly service for much of the day; the last train back to Leeds will leave Bradford Interchange at 18:00.

    I'll not be travelling over on Saturday.

    Hopefully a few will applaud David Hopkin and have a grumble about the general stewardship of the club in my absence.

    Bloody hell, been trying to get a pre-match pint or 2 on North Parade every home game and the pissing trains have never run. I blame Edin.

    They've moved on from the old Bristol VR's. The 662 shuttle even has USB so you can charge your phone. Having said that I still use the train for work (near VP) as on weekdays it would be quicker to walk.

    These strikes are a pain though when you're trying to watch a NWCFL team home and away.

    This strike needs sorting its costing the public money. Fleetwood I booked with the Corn Dolly this meant a taxi to the Dolly and one home . It's going to be the same problem for those going to Donny.The revised timetables for the 22nd issued by Northern will no be available until a few days before. There is a Grand Central train from the Interchange to Donny 10.21 arrives 12.03 and one back 18.05 thats a possibility maybe.
