Agree. Seems to just end like it did at the beginning of last season on ifollow. No manager or player interviews any more.

 

I was thinking exactly the the same thing coming away from Southend on Saturday.
I tuned in to iplayer expecting to be able to wallow in self pity with other City fans.
What did I get for my subscription fee? Half an hour of Noel funking Whelan high fiving Leeds fans after they'd beaten Rotherham.
I'm not at all impressed that my Bradford City app delivers Leeds content They need to sort it out.

 

To be fair, it is Radio Leeds, and I would expect more content on Leeds Utd. That's why I listen to Pulse when not attending away games. Must be frustrating if you live away and have to rely on ifollow though

 

Trouble is Idle, we've paid for a service we are not getting.
If you buy a tin of beans you expect it to contain beans. You do not expect a can of peas (or worms) instead.

 

Gareth Jones the sports editor for the last few years has left and he liked to cover City as much as Leeds and Town. Now he has gone
they have got a new guy from Radio Sheffield and he seems to have downgraded City to just sharing pre match and post match. They have been great the last couple of years with Wayne Jacobs as summariser
but Andy Kiwomya is nowhere near as good and they need to up their game. Also get back to a dedicated pre and post match City coverage.

At least they've sign up El Capitano for the season.

 

The Monday 6pm show had around 30mins Leeds,20mins huddersfield and 5mins on city.

 

I think I heard something last night about Gary Jones doing more co-coverage of city matches,let's hope it's true.

 

Is that part of the service advertised?

 

Whether advertised or not, it is now "custom and practice" so when a part of what I had, liked and came to expect is taken away I don't like it.
It's all MC's fault. If we had lost last night I would have had something more important to moan about

 

It would actually be quite good if he is unsettled by social media rather than oblivious to it, at least that way he'll get a feel for what fans are thinking and perhaps resist some of the fancy formations he seems to want to try and keep it simple. It might mean he takes off any blinkers he has (starting today with the need for support for Doyle) and just possibly tells Rahic what is needed.

Win on Saturday and we have actually had a half decent start to the season, something to build on with two winnable away matches coming up. Pre-season was a write off, a good win on Saturday and we can say we've had a "second pre-season" and come through it ok with only defeats to a very good Barnsley side and against Southend who we've only beaten 5 times in 15 attempts. (Yes I'm ignoring the FL Cup because it's such a lottery at Rd 1 stage with about as much atmosphere as the Jackmeoff Cup has).

Saturday is important to build on, but I'm a lot happier today.

 

Radio leeds is supposed to provide coverage for West Yorkshire but has always been pro beeston Utd

 

I noticed they started with Leeds too. Whenever I listened last season, they tended to start with Huddersfield as they are in Premiership now.
I think they will be creaming it whilst Leeds are top of league and doing well

 

And Radio WM is only ever listened to by people who put their money in the West Bromwich & District Building Society...…….. to make that work you have to imagine Barry Taylor from Auf Weidersein Pet (the part that made Timothy Spall) saying it in his Brummie accent.

 

Wow. I've not listened to radio Leeds since we got dumped off their DAB broadcast so wasn't aware that they had all but stopped doing pre/post match City content. I don't really have a problem with them doing that for their radio output because the Pulse are focussed solely on City but there's no way that they should be broadcasting Leeds Utd content on the City iFollow app and it needs to stop. Having no pre/post match content would be a better option than letting Leeds (or any other club) effectively hijack our only online broadcast, especially seeing as it's a paid for service.

In the mean time, it's not as convenient but you could always install another media player and listen to the Pulse before and after the match and only use iPlayer for the actual commentary.
