Problems loading

We have what looks like a network of bots sending junk requests at the server during busy periods which is slowing things down. That leads to you guys getting impatient and doing things like hitting refresh alot which inadvertently causes what is basically a second attack onto of the first until the point both CPU's get maxed out at 100%.

I'm trying to fix it but these bots are rotating their IP's and while some of them are from data centres so its an easy block others seem to be from residential connections, perhaps even some of you regulars as a few of them are coming back to around the Bradford area suggesting that maybe they are using zombie computers that they have infected with a virus which is harder to block as I could block these IP's but as IP's get rotated it could mean someone else in a week finds themselves blocked for no reason (Well unless its some Twit doing it intentionally in which case they need someone to smash their head in with a baseball bat for being a piece of shit).

 

It looks to me like the issue is your phone, one of your screenshots shows the site being displayed WIDER than the phone's resolution which shouldn't be happening (and I can't recreate). If its not loading the page correctly then there is a chance its not loading the the code to that controls which ads you see. Those not logged in or who are standard members get auto-ads, these put an ad in any 'white space' but on mobile that generally results in 1 square ad on the screen at once, I can't trigger any of the smaller ones you are seeing but maybe it might add two of those. If the page isn't loading correctly though there will be more white space and it may try and display more ads which is what I think you might be seeing.

For active members who post enough to automatically be put in the 'verified' user group which you are the ads are manually placed and are spread out.

It looks to me you are getting both because as I said it looks like the page isn't rendering correctly on your phone. Which is also why it seems like they overlay the thread contents as its breaking all the containers and not just the ad containers are overlapping but there are examples of the parts of the site overlapping itself as well
