    EFL Trophy
Following the loss of its sponsorship, there seems to have been no announcement regarding prize money for 2023/24. However, last season's prize money was:
    Participation Money £20,000
    Group Win (3 matches) £10,000 (Draw £5,000)
    2nd Round Winners £20,000
    3rd Round Winners £40,000
    Quarter Final Winners £50,000
Final Winners £100,000 (Final Losers £50,000)

    EFL (Carabao) Cup
    1st Round Winners £5,000
    2nd Round Winners £7,000
    3rd Round Winners £10,000
    4th Round Winners £15,000
    Quarter Final Winners £25,000
    Semi Final Winners £25,000
Final Winners £100,000 (Final Losers £50,000)

    FA Cup
    1st Round Winners £41,000
    2nd Round Winners £67,000
    3rd Round Winners £105,000
    4th Round Winners £120,000
    5th Round Winners £225,000
    Quarter Final Winners £450,000
Semi Final Winners £1,000,000 (Semi Final Losers £500,000)
Final Winners £2,000,000 (Final Losers £1,000,000)

Thanks. Is this cumulative? If we get knocked out at round three have we banked £7k (as round 2 winners) or £12k as winners of both round 1 and 2? Either way, it's pretty paltry prize money really in the league cup.

Cumulative, so £12,000 so far in the EFL (Carabao) Cup.

The TV money isn't much either, unlike the FA Cup. Gate receipts are probably the bigger one for smaller clubs. The FA Cup & EFL Cup have the same rules on gate receipts allocation at both clubs taking 45% of the gate. But some larger clubs waive the money to the other team as that 45% that will be pennies to a CL club could be a huge boost to a L2 club. I think Chelsea and Man City have done it a few times recently, Man United gave a big chunk of theirs to Cambridge the other year.

    It's not a lot really, is it? I mean, it's welcome, but £12k isn't a lot really.

It used to be nothing until the final of the league cup as Mark Lawn often stated when he was playing down how much we were getting for our cup run in 2012/13.

How much have we won if I assume we win the cup?

There wasn't last season (although the losing finalists got £50,000).

With the loss of sponsorship it remains to be seen if the prize money will match last season's anyway.

    £187k in prize money.

£2m+ if you include gate receipts.

No surprise that they can't get a sponsor for the EFL Trophy. It's a waste of time.
