    We have a few server error logs relating to emails which suggest people aren't receiving any emails from the server.

    If you could let me know if you have been receiving emails from the forum since about 2PM that would be great so I can help identify the scope and cause of the issue

    Mainly would be if you are watching threads and have the email alert option turned on. But also if you have done anything like changed your email on your account or used forgotten my password option

    I think its fixed (Well I've got some emails now and I'm not getting the error messages in the admin area).

    despite setting preferences to stop notification emails, I am still getting them. Any ideas? or is t just me doesn't know how to set preferences up properly?

    Are you just getting them for the threads you posted to before you changed your settings?

    Pick a thread that you have never posted to before and post to it. If you don't get emails from it then you have changed the settings correct.

    BUT there is a second step to stop emails regarding threads that you are already getting them for.

    For each thread you have to unclick the watched thread marker at the top of each thread that you are getting emails for. Easiest way to do it is when you get an email go to that thread and change it

    Or click Watched threads on the nav bar. This will show the newest 20 watched threads and you can go through them and unwatch the threads (and if you still want to watch then rewatch them but don’t select the email option)
